yeh insurance isnt bad at all on the 520i. get mine reasonably cheap.

its only going up 200 quid when and IF i get a 530d from some quotes I had

It went up a grand total of £106 for me from a 316 to a 540 - 31 no points, 5 years NCB.

Cheapest I've seen genuine Hella front lights for is £290 a pair.

can't go wrong with the older 5 series. Pictures just make me want it more and more. Angel lights are a must just for the aggression look in darkness! :cool:

You need to make sure you get all the conversion kit requird witch is usually about £30

I only recomend simon allen hes used by nearly all in bmw club forums is cheap and has deals with all the suppliers.

Essential upgrades are being ordered asap.

The Hella light angel light kit.
New M5 bumper (Any one know if I need new front arch liners for this?)
Not 100% sure I will get the M5 rear bumper just yet.

You dont need arch liners as far as am aware.

What kind of MPG do you get though?
Thats more than double the CC with my Clio 1600, and I spend £60 p/w on fuel doing 300 odd miles a week :eek:

That must be in the same region

MPG is horrible! but who cares :-)

The manual says I can expect 16-18MPG around town.

I have had it since last wednesday and so far I have put in £70! I have little under half a tank left. I really must start using the steptronic manual, as all I have been doing is town driving, and it gets into 2nd maybe 3rd. I am trying my best to keep the MPG needle around 30.

As I work from home, it will get little use really. If I were driving it everyday I would have got something a little less wild.
