I really like it.
Guess it might be ok in something with a smooth engine, the jerkiness it induces in my engine/gearbox is unbearable, plus it ruins impromptu traffic light grand prix shenanigans
Its absolutely rubbish in my X3 (30d), very intrusive and quite dumb (it stops too keenly when in town traffic and you stop for more than a split second). One of those things you need to code out immediately or keep switching off routinely in this model at least.
Ive not had a car with the lane departure system, but that strikes me that it must be very intrusive if it goes off every time you cross white lines without indicating.

I disabled the lane nonsense too, it's like your steering wheel turns into a playstation dual shock controller
If you rely on it:
1. You shouldn't drive so tired
2. Stop watching DVDs and focus on the road
3. You rely on technology too much, give up and buy a tesla
More than the reliance, it sounds very intrusive - through normal driving i must cross white lines many times per day without indicating, you don't indicate if there is no-one to indicate to, which is a lot of the time, and you don't indicate when using all of the road on a normal unclassified road (with central markings) as i do many miles on every day.

It's just rubbish mate, the little orange light in the wing mirrors that gives you the green light to kill cyclists is useful, but everything else is just too intrusive.
At least you can just code it all out. Standard kit for any BMW owner is an ENET cable

This is correct, start stop doesn't operate in Sport mode.
