BMW and M Power Owners

Beats me! The only thing is if you badly want DCT you need a 2009+ model but those can be found for mid to high twenties.

2008 models have the DCT gearbox and you can pick them up for low 20's now.
A well specced 2008 DCT coupe would be my choice if I were buying another. It's easy to upgrade to CIC and that is really the only major difference in the later models. Oh and some LED lights if you're really that bothered.

Driving to work this morning for the first time in the M3; pulled up behind a very shiny van and could see the reflection of angel eyes :( :( Not sure how I managed to miss that. They will definitely be coming out!!!

I am not a fan of E46 angel eyes, however they do look a lot better than most of the rubbish you see on E46's.
Had a poke around during my lunch break. Does anyone know if they changed the fog lights on the E46? The type I have are projector types and an M3 parked near me on an 04 plate has reflector types that sit a lot more flush.

For the scene look where they run around with fogs on. Have you checked whether they are bright blue? Definite giveaway.

I'll have a look later. They are definitely coming off. I'm not into the whole bimmer scene thing. I'd say I'm quite passionate about BMW, but not to that extent. Definitely more of a purist :p

I will admit though that after a few days, it's great to be back in an E46. It certainly gives me more of a buzz than my E92 M3 did but I'm hoping it won't wear off soon.

If the fogs are inoffensive when off and not coded to be on all the time I'd just leave them tbh - definitely sort the headlights tho.

I find myself wanting a BMW again, but not an e46, not an early e9x and not an e6x - however need a tourer and cannot realistically justify the cost of anything else. Sad times!

Why not an E46 Touring? I've really grown to love my 330d Sport Touring. It was only bought for commuting purposes but I genuinely enjoy driving it to work now and it still looks better than the E91 (IMO).

Can anyone recommend a decent indy around Kent? Need a few things looked at but struggling to find a decent one. Already tried the main ones in Dartford and Maidstone with not much luck.

BMSport in Bexleyheath seems to have a decent reputation, anyone used them before?

ETA motorsport are the people to see in Kent.

A friend of mine in the motor trade has had a M135 come in and said he can do me a good deal on it

I'd never considered one before but it does look like a nice car, it is a 62 plate with 30k on the clock

I'm going to go down and take a look at it I think to see if it is something I fancy, are there any particular options that came on these cars that I should be looking for? I know that you seem to get quite a wide choice with BMWs

All I know at this stage is that it is auto with leather

Pro nav and heated seats are the only things I'd want on the car. Up to you if you prefer manual or auto, but the 8 speed auto is a very good gearbox and the majority of M135i's are ordered with it.
All of them come with xenon headlights and leather as standard. In fact they're extremely well equipped to begin with so even a base spec auto will be a great car, but pro nav is a must for me.
What's the deal he's offering you?

You'll need to roof up to get your gear in as it's severely limited with the roof down and a bugger to access without putting the roof up. Go to a dealer and check it for yourself, it's the only way you'll be sure.

B doesn't exist when the roof is down. the roof is in the gaps (blue arrows) to the side and the roof box thing (has a handle, you pull it towards you, handle is at the top of the pic just below the metal boot line) you have to put down connects to the black plastic bits. What you probably need is an example with the ski pass-through (I think it's an option) which is a hole between the boot and the cabin. It's not a huge hole but it would allow a tripod. Not sure how common it is or if it was a default to be honest, you can easily check most examples on a forecourt. The pass through has a set of removable shelves to put things like sunglasses in mine so if it has this in the blurb then you're probably set.

Good point, find a car with the through-loading/ski hatch and you'll have no problem fitting your tripod in.

iDrive is a must along with heated seats and a wind deflector. I would be looking for a very late 2010 car with the upgraded media/bluetooth package (can't remember the option name) because these come with the combox so you can wireless stream music from your phone including spotify/deezer etc.
Other options are not as important IMO, but the heated seats and wind deflector will keep you warm during winter.
