BMW and M Power Owners

I would recommend a test drive along some bumpy roads. I went in one some months ago and the ride was very very firm, comparable to my M2 which is not brilliant
That's the plan, and I've read about the ride. Was it an LCI you drove? Apparently it's much improved.

Never seen a RHD E30 M3 before, stunning in the flesh!

I've still never worked out how to share an image on here...

Assuming they're factory fitted, if you decode the VIN, it will say.

Anyone had any experience with the Z4 M40i?

The American market version makes 400bhp due to the map on the same engine, but we only get 330ish, that seems like a lot of power for the money.

Quick question, is the iDrive updatable, ? IE if you have a 2018 model, would you be able to update the idrive software? BMW said that apparently you cant ?

and will be based on the year of your car to the version allowed

Depends what you mean by update.

Can you perform a minor update from iD 6.x to 6.y? Yes, assuming an update is available, you can do this as per the instructions in iDrive. I'd be very surprised if the dealer hadn't already done this though.

Can you perform a major update from iD 6.x to 7.x/8.x? No. It's not possible as they require vastly different control modules, instrument cluster etc, not just software.

Can anyone help identify a rattling noise that has started in the engine bay of my 330Ci. It's a 2006 automatic model with 126000 miles on it and just in the past month a rattling noise has started to appear when idling. It's more prominent when idling.

When in park the rattling/ticking noise is obvious but is more obvious when putting it in drive. If you take a look at this video you will hopefully hear what I mean.

Appreciate any advice on the matter.

Thanks

I have checked with them today..the current version is

Telephone : TB-007.005.013
Media: MB-007.005.013

Ill have to look online to check its release date and if there is any interim updates.

I kind of guessed about major OS version jumps not being a thing..
