BMW and M Power Owners

The trouble with Alpina is that they are SE based - they almost never seem to bother changing things like the crap SE steering wheel - and even with the Alpina splitters an E39 SE looks nothing like as good as the E39 Sport.

I'm wanting to get whatever I need to read codes off the car (E46 2002 330 Touring)

Can anyone recommend a suitable OBD reader to either pair up with my MacBook or my iPhone, and what software people would suggest?

Black on black, BMW main dealer. Pro hi-fi, reverse sensors, Bluetooth. 07 50k miles. Just had insp II and new pads and discs all round. 1 year tax and warranty. £13.5k

Fairly happy with the deal and age, only concern is the lack of phone connectivity for audio but I'll sort that eventually im sure.

Seems like fantastic value to me for a proper M car. Perfect timing too, the fresh Inspection 2 means unless you do big miles you are potentially 4 years away from the next eye watering service.

Anyone else just get a letter from BMW about the passenger airbag recall?

2005 330ci here.

I got one.

Waiting until January for the part. Mine is a 2003 Ci, I think it could well be all E46's. Will surely cost BMW an absolute fortune!!

Sounds good. Is the Bluetooth connectivity for audio? One thing I would want. Shame its not easy to change the headunit on any of the upgraded audio packages.

Its odd a couple of months back when I started to look to get an idea of cost all
Z4ms on the bmw site were closer to 20k then 10k.

Just had a letter through about the airbag recall on my M3...

They said they would write to me again when they had parts available

Nice, is that the sapphire black (normal black) or the ruby black (red metallic flecks in the paint)?

None of the Z4s could play music through bluetooth - you'd have to go 3rd party to do that, and if you want ID3 tags to show on the head unit then I don't believe there are any bluetooth options. The best bet usually is to go the permanent iPod route for music as there are so many options. The Intravee plus Alpine 420 is the best for presentation with navigation, but perhaps overkill on a standard head unit.

Good to have the M's pricey Inspection II out of the way, and that's an awesome price for approved used. Enjoy!

Yep, same here, but they generally hold their value better during the summer months - it's now December and they're probably at their lowest value all year. Doubly so if a roadster.

Might have to retrofit an Aux in as whilst it's an 07 it may have been produced in 06 annoyingly, apparently it's easy, we shall see. I pick it up Saturday.

It doesn't, but there's plenty that feed ID3 tags etc through to the head unit - that looks to be a very interesting device. I note that it supports Android/WP, but does it support ID3 tags through to the head unit's display?
