BMW and M Power Owners

Do you drive past bushes and brush them? Can often cause what you're describing. From my previous experience anyway.

That was the first thought but then realised it's the drivers side. So unlikely! Washed and polished it on sat and they definitely weren't there then. Went out for a drive and positive they weren't there when I got back. All Sunday it sat on my drive. Monday I was out in it with the gf most of the day but it doesn't look like it happened by someone driving past as the mirror isn't touched and the scratches are below it.
Tuesday it was sat outside the house all day.

The roof on my E93 gave up at the weekend "roof movement impaired" with it being stuck half open , so it's in the garage now, all caused by one faulty sensor. Will be fixed under warranty and hopefully have it back by the weekend for some fun in the sun. I was amazed that there is no manual override to close the roof like there was on the previous 3 series vert, apparently to disable the hydraulics to be able to move roof manually you need to get into the boot and remove a load of the trim, but... if the roof isn't latched properly the boot won't open!

Also was slightly amazed the service guy said he couldn't do anything to the car until I brought in the service book (something about their audit on in/out times needing to tally), he said "pleeease tell me it's not in the boot?!" :D

IME all AC systems are whiffy if you turn it on and off. Leave it on or off all the time and you won't get odour problems.

Absolutely this - it is a climate control system, leave the AC firmly on and it'll ensure you get conditioned, moisture free air all year round at the right temperature. Never turn it off :)

Strange, never come across it this bad before. Nasty muggy fishy smell when turning it off.

I was always under the pretense that leaving AC on used more mpg than opening windows...

Did some reading, turns out I'm wrong! I guess I'll save my self £55 and simply leave the AC on and use it for fuel instead then. Poor ATS going to get a cancellation in the morning.

I spoke to the garage, they said it's worth doing due to the age anyway, guess why not. It is only pennies at £55....

The owners manual in my VW says to leave it on all the time unless it's broken so that's what I do. Only maintenance I've had done was a re-gas a couple of years ago

Yes. Anyone who dislikes the X6 must be a 'troll'

Incorrect and not what i said.

Plenty of dislike on this forum for this car which i accept as peoples views. However if i make a tongue in cheek, banter like comment about it gets purposely misrepresented..... enter sighing face.

Bmw thread. Picture of two bmw vehicles i own. Sorry to offend anyone.

To be honest when you start the post with a potentially inflammatory comment about 'hatred trolls' with zero emoticon or hint it's tongue in cheek what do you expect :p

Nice pic, btw. Z4 looks good :p

Ok it needed one of these tongue out smiles (which in fairness who does that in real life after saying something?) after it to provide proper tone, I concede that ;)

Z4 hasn't had as much use in 'summer' as it did during spring, the weather up here has been a bit, pish!

unsure if mentioned already, but just saw a 340i add  will no doubt catch a few people out if debadged!

It's just a renamed 335i really, a model that has been out with similar performance for 9 years now, so cool as though it is its hardly some new stealthmobile :p

I don't get what the X6 is meant to be, but I like it, just as I like the RR Evoque.

But then again I have a small penis and drive a X5, so the love is probably related to the vehicle size.

Has the 328i been transformed into a 330i by any chance too? It doesn't appear on the bmw website anymore.
