After having my heart set out on a 125i, I made the mistake of looking at the M135i's...and from what I've read they seem absolutely fantastic and now I really want to go for that. Basically no difference in insurance either.
In terms of fuel costs I do well below 10k miles a year. However, the odd trip across the country does pop up. Arggh decisions!

38-40MPG at 70mph on a long trip is very realistic in an M135i.
The fuel cost difference between a 125i and M135i for your sort of mileage is pennies.
I'm averaging over 34 MPG in my M135i. Regularly see 40 MPG on longer journeys.
Jus' saying! (You should buy one)
That's good to know, thank you.
34MPG for real? My 1.8 Civic is currently sitting at 30MPG mainly town driving so even if the 135i gets mid to low 20s then that isn't too bad!
It's funny, I was originally looking at 120D's, and then 125i's and now I am at the M135i.

*Offers available on selected stock models. All cars must be registered by 31st December 2015.
