Dorchester is fairly close to me too. But i wouldn't drive all that way for a non-existent car/dealership ;)

I would offer to visit the dealer, but tbh, I suspect the car will not be there..

Ah of course, so we can't check the BMW Approved Used site, can we ;)

Interesting how this dealer, despite obviously retailing mostly very high value cars, appears to have no web presence and doesn't have the state of mind to advertise his cars on Autotrader.

Most odd. But then, his stock does sound most odd as well..

Er as I live round here I can shed a light on a few things. Merv Hamman (the correct spelling) does indeed exist and they are a BMW specialist. They have a branch opposite Wood of Bournemouth BMW.

Here is the website http://www.mervhannam.co.uk/

Followed the link in the other thread on here about the 335d being released for configuring on BMW's website - no manual gearbox option there either. And the BMW garage just off Coventry ring road in Coundon doesn't seem to think that a manual twin-turbo diesel exists yet.

Has anyone actually called them yet?

I don't think we really need to. Although, because I'm off work and have far too much time on my hands I have sent this email to BMW.

TO: '[email protected]'

Dear Sir,

The time has come for me to purchase a new car and I am rather interested in the BMW 535D SE / Sport model that you offer. From what I can see on the BMW website there doesn't appear to be an option for a manual gearbox. I personally prefer a manual gearbox to an automatic or semi-automatic version and shall be pursuing my interest in the 535D if a manual gearbox is available.

Could you please confirm whether or not a manual gearbox is available for this model and if not, will one be available in the near future?

Kind regards,
(Scuzi)

there is! loads of revvy powahh and a decent ammount of torque. M5 ***.

you dont spend 40000 on a car and worry about running costs, I wouldent anyway, if you can afford a 40k car, it doesnt really matter if it does 20mpg

What percentage of £40k 5 Series sales do you think are made to people buying with their own money?
