BMW M5 - the Beast is back

Very nice car indeed! Not sure I would have the patience to wait 4 years for it though! It would be like being a kid and living christmas eve everyday for 4 years!
 
Every time I see a new 5 series, I like them more and more. The M styling pack is a must imo. The M5 just looks awesome in the flesh, I just wish there was some way of me owning one.

The only thing I don't like about beamers is the interior. The HUD looks flashy, but for such a nice looking car on the outside, the interior is really bland.

A fine purchase indeed! You'll need to post again when you stop smiling.
 
only thing that i can see that i dont like is how small the gearstick/handbrake look but other than that it looks fantastic.

anyone seen them diy projectors on ebay for like 5 pounds.... gonna get one and make my own HUD in the 'lude ;)

I'm sure it's great to drive but - and this is a big but - the styling *interior and exterior* is just ...meh...

Colour suits it though.

Although - the HUD does look good *just waiting until they make them illegal as they may be distracting :rolleyes:*

Having seen the engine perform in a different body/chassis *;)* I can say that it is a stunning piece of engineering. It's one of the few modern engines that was designed to have a soul.

The question is...When are you going to kill this one on a trackday? ;) :p

I'm not a BMW fan, but after a go in an M3, I was impressed by their sportier varients. That HUD rocks, one luxury feature that I hope filters down quickly to sensible cars.

Sadly the stupid gearbox would kill it for me. I *need* a clutch pedal and a proper stick.
 
I hope I catch a glimpse of it when I call for my 6800GT over the weekend!

i was going to comment how it looks on the inside i like it a lot nice basic lay out everything is in easy reach for the driver
 
love the looks outside but the interior is a complete pile of paap!! 7 speeds has got to be a good thing, love the HUD and I'm guessing the typical BMW MPG guage has been chucked, as it probably never gets off of Zero! :p
 
Stunning car, having waited so long the only thing that would worry me is finding out theres a new model out next week, same with all upgrades though i spose
