BMX petition!

I can see the sense of not having two different speeds of traffic, one of which will want to be going uphill too. It also looks a little bit small for BMX tbh. Maybe they'll allow bikes but just not at the same time.

that has gears and big wheels, more like a mountain bike or trials bike i think, defiantly not a bmx

I dont see the point in saying no big wheels allowed if its an outdoor park cause people will use it anyway. If you have to pay to get in etc then its a different matter and up to the to enforce it.

Have peoples ideas on what a bmx is changed these days or something. that looks nothing like my idea of a bmx

Matt Hoffman one of the worlds best BMX'ers....had a hoffman myself untill a lil gyppo stole it

Cant stand BMX'ers when skating.

I myself used to blade, and i really hated bmx'ers, even though most of the people i new out of blading did actually BMX.

Once they get a ramp, they just dont share it, where as skateboarders and bladers seem to share and just get around it by taking turns/skating together.

Eerrggg, arrogant muppets !

P.S Lucky i didnt skate parks much, loved just going out and trying random things, very much like..

I dont see the problem really. If it's an open/public skatepark then why are you wasting your time with a petition. Get your behinds down there in a decent-sized group and get on with it. Dont be idiots, just use it as you would normally. It's not like you need to worry about the skaters running you over is it? I doubt you'll have much trouble.

If it's a private skatepark (i.e. pay to go in), then they should have enough common sense to let the skaters in on one day, and the BMXers on another. You should take the petition to the owners and let them work out how much business they'd lose by not letting you.

Simple really.

EDIT: Looks awesome. Where in London is it?

Um theres is a problem, its called pegs. If bmxers starting hitting that place up it will end up rip to pieces. There's a no peg rule at stoke plaza which has apaprently getting broke by people and certain ledges have already been excessivly worn due to this. If bmxers want to ride this place, it should be no/plastic pegs only, and no stupid pedal grinds either.

And also, how many bmxers were involved in this? As far i can find out, not one hence the skateboard orientated layout so i dont really think they have the right to moan when they just sit about and wait for the park to pop up. You wonna ride it, you get up and get involved.

That's a fair point, but that place looks like it's all conrete with proper metal coping? Can pegs really do that much damage? Much more than skateboard trucks?

Anyway, what i meant was that there isnt much of a problem for the BMXers ;) They can just turn up and then all the business of skater/boarder/BMX hatred can continue just like any other skatepark in the country!
