:D I had a Raleigh Burner (Black red writing) that I used to Cycle to school with when I was about 10. I was annoyed when my mum chucked it out - 25 I was!

Why do people see it like this. Skateboarders, bladers and bikers aren't blind to one and others and speak different languages. Its just commen sense to be aware of whats going around you. I have been to plenty of places where all 3 groups have been using the place.

I honestly thought this whole different sport hating was a bit fictional but now im not so sure. Myself, i have respect for whatever one your doing and have friends who do all of the above, its not to use commen sense

The place was designed and built with input from skaters, not bmxers so its probably not very accomdating for bmxers anyway

im 100% with you.....i used to BMX non stop when i was younger....but in reality i guess thats how they see it...like you say ive been to loads of skate parks and most usually have respect for each other and can see whats going on....but you do sometimes get the ***** who thinks there better or something and cause the unnessary accident and i guess thats where there looking in perspective.......

they built one here not so long ago and its exactly the same as this one....only boarders and bladers are allowed...no BMX'ers

Tomasz Duda, the petition starter, has this to say to some people:

Wow, i never though i would have seen such stupid people, and unaware of what bmxers can or cant do, or what they are like, you just make assumptions.

Robmiller:
I dont see how you can say that, obviously you dont have a clue, as everywhere ive been on my bmx, skaters have started trouble with me, not the other way around.
Us bmxers always look out so we dont collide, but **** happens.
We watch out for one another.

Hedge:
Its built jsut fine to withstand bmxers, allt he ledges have a metal coping/sheeting on them, the concrete cannot get damaged in any way.
It would suit bmxers more than skaters, one reason being, all the flatbanks to wallrides are not suited for skaters, they cannot ride up a brick wall, without falling off that is.
plus, its way too small for skaters, there absolutely NO runup for skaters, for inliners is ok, cos u can get speed faster.
plus, its so small, and when it gets packed, so many skaters will collide.

Fozzybear:
WSont the skaters leave little chips in the concrepe from failing to land a kickflip or whaetever they r called.

macabre:
your right, some skaters and bmxers dont get along, why, because some skaters are selfish little ******. "You did a grind on my lege, I HATE YOU"
But at Southbank its alright, i ride there a lot, and were kool with the skaters, well the regulars anyway.
We all take turns, and watch out for eachother. If i skater snakes me, and i fall over, he helps me up, jsut like if i accidently knocked into him, we r kool with eachother.

Killa_ken:
its not a BMW bmx, its jsut someone made a BMW sticker, but instead on BMW, it says BMX, its a little joke sticker

Cybermk:
like i stated to soemone else, its way too small for skaters, not enough runup for anything

Dark_Injection:
jsut seems like you happened to live in an area where some were a bit selfish, but then again, so are skaters and bladers, we all are at times.
But where i ride, we all share and get along jsut fine, we all know the unwritten rules, so its fine.
and saying that about all bmxers is an ultimate generalisation, and you shouldnt do that.
and dont call us muppets mate, cos i when some rudeboys start on some skaters and inliners at southbank, all of us bmxers step in and help them out, we stick out for one another.

Dreadi:
the ledges and ramps have metal coping and metal plating so it cant get detroyed.
Also dreadi, if soemthing is built properly, it will withstand peg use, but then again, skaters detroy ledges with their trucks jsut as fast.
Oh and let me put it this way, a lot of us bmxers ahve been pushing for a skateplaza in c london for a long time, and we were told soem, thing is probably gunna be built.
when i found out what, and i tried getting involved, i was told that they have all the people they need, so if you dont know what you aret alking about, please, dont.

Randomtom:
a lot of skaters actually dont look out for other people, and they tend to snake bmxers and then whack into them, and then they moan, but that rarely happens.
Every day i see hundreds of skater vs skater collisions.
So maybe you should all be hating eachother seeing as you collide more with eachother then with bmxers because you dont look or take turns

Dredi:
i didnt encourage multiple signing udner false names, thats out of my controll, but even so, when people go round with a pen and paper, people sign multiple times aswell.

Jonny///M and dantonkin:
its a skateplaza, its sjut a name that has stuck for when u build anything with trasition or ledges to be used to bmx/skate/inline.
and its too small for skaters, and like a lot of skatepark designerrs have told me, they like to have things spaced out for runups, its way too small and packed togetehr.

Mazdarx8:
but msot bikers have brakes, and even so, we can stop faster then a skater.

Converse_uprise:
At southbank, which is concrtee, there is NO peg damage what so ever. the only damage or chips in the concrete, are at the bottom of a 7/8 set, where when skaters bail, their boards fly down and the side of their tricks, where the axle is, chips the concrete.

People jsut need to stop hating becasue we all ride different things.
i respect skaters and inliners, everyone, we all look out for eachother in London, but jsut because you whcakced into someone who rides a different thign than you, doesnt mean u should be hating them because of what they ride, like i mentioned earlier, skaters collide with skaters 100x more then skater vs bmx, well, where i ride that is.

That park is clearly too small for bikes. I wouldn't feel safe skating there if there were BMX'ers there at the same time.

And I've been to enough skateparks where the copings have been ruined by bikes.

It's a lot easier for two skaters to avoid a collision, and in the event of them colliding, it'll hurt a lot less than colliding with a bike.

Quality m8, just reminded me of my old Diamond Back Viper I had, although I had Skyway Tuff II rims, instead of what looks like Z-Rims on that Haro.

Naaaah, if you were into freestyle, then Haro was #1.

Look at rear dropouts, no need for pegs ;) foot platforms on the frame.

I never saw that, and that my friend is the reason why I never progressed beyond a basic yellow & red burner :o
(man, they weighed a ton!) :)

The Mongoose was more of a racing bmx. For freestyle it was the Haro, the PK Ripper (with landing gear forks), the GT Pro performer, and the DiamondBack Viper etc....

I only have one finger front brake with mine, and had a coaster for the back brake, which was great for skidding

Bringing back some right old memories, loving this :D

I fail to believe that pegs wouldnt do the same damage as the axle of the trucks on a skateboard. If anything i'd imagine it to do more damage, due to the weight and size of the thing.

I'm not saying your wrong, but I just don't understand how you can say bikes don't damage concrete, and skateboards do.

Well yes we have established that it has coping but that still doesnt mean pegs wont damage the floorinf and such. Is it so much hassle to ride pegless/plastic peg ?

I must say not being from london i'm not personally involved but i feel i have enough information coming from people to think i have a good idea regarding it, I'm not slating you in anyway, i just think if you really wanted to be in on it you should have pressed on regardless instead of just backing off when they said you werent needed as everyones view is important, especially if your gonna be using it.
