BMX petition!

[Cynical mode]
The whole "no bikes" at the park situation may party be to the amnimosity that the London skaters have, due to the fact that the BMXers pretty much ruined the blocks down at southbank, the blocks that Nike SB put the money up for.

I also took slight amusment to what you said in the opening post

"This is unfair how we are being excluded from a public skate plaza!!!"

Whatever next, cars being excluded from cycle paths?

Regardless the park in question is still designed soley for skateboard + rollerblading.

Start letting bikes in there and some accidents will occur.

Tomasz Duda, the petition starter, has this to say to some people:

Wow, i never though i would have seen such stupid people, and unaware of what bmxers can or cant do, or what they are like, you just make assumptions.

Lol@ Tomasz Duda. If you're reading this, you ask us to sign your petition, and then call anyone that asks a question or makes an inaccurate post stupid? That's people skills.

Now I hope they make it so you can only ride your BMX along flat ground.

Yes they didn't let my BMX on the halfpipe back in Greece, you do know that the pegs make great big holes at the surface of it, don't you? :p In any case, BMX'ing on the street is so much more better, you get so much grief from the public it's hillarious :D

You recently signed a petition asking the Prime Minister to
"allow BMX'ers to ride the London Bridge skate plaza."

The Prime Minister's Office has responded to that petition and
you can view it here:

And they said:
As you will be aware, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) operates at arm's length from the Arts Council England (ACE). We set the broad policy objectives for the arts but Government funding for the arts is channelled directly through ACE. Allocation of these funds is a matter for ACE, within broad guidelines, and Ministers do not intervene in individual funding decisions. We have, however, passed your concerns on to the Arts Council.
