Bomb Iran?

Or how about:

G) Mind our own ******* business and live and let live? Who the **** are we to dictate to anyone that they can or cannot have nuclear weapons?

The US can go **** itself too - arrogant *******!

* There, I feel so much better :p

Agreed!

Who are we to say they cannot use Nuclear power.

What hypocritical nonsense.

We have no right to stop anyone making them while we possess them ourselves.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

No, no hypocrisy here, just politics..

We have every right to look after our countries best interests.

The same way Iran do.

Iran have every right to build nuclear weapons

but

We have every right to try and stop them if we can

it's very simple.

Are you certain about that?

notice the inverted commas...

Look, If we want to try and stop Iran making nuclear facilities then we have every right to.

If Iran want to make nuclear weapons then they also have every right to.

there are no police, no judge or jury, we are talking about different countries with different interests.

Is it? Really?

Explain to me why that is the case.

Nuclear weapons? you know? can destroy entire cities and kill millions in seconds? ring any bells?

I think we have every right to not want other countries having them, it may seem hypocritical, but it's just the way the world works, basicaly we don't know if Iran can be trusted with them.

Oh, I see.

Like the ones we have you mean?

Or the French?

Or the Russians?

Or the Koreans?

Or the Chinese?

Or the Americans?

Why assume that Iran will use them just because they possess them? They have every much a right to a deterrent as any other country.

The melodrama and ignorance in this thread is quite frankly shocking.

I think you are wrong. I am not sure that anyone can be trusted with them.

you are correct, they do have every right to possess them :)

but then other countires have every right to object.

this is how the world works.

People like you are equaly ignorant of the dangers of nuclear weapons and the reason countries are desuaded from developing them.

The less uclear weapons in the world the better, if it was my choice I would remove them all, but seeing as that isn't possible, we can at least try and stop every country on earth developing them. The problem is, a few cpuntries will always need to have them as a deterant, you can't avoid that.

People like me? I have served 14 years in the military, I would argue I have a greater understanding of the issues than you will ever have.

You are clearly out of your depth in this debate, I'd call it a day now if I were you.

Oh get off your high hors before you choke from lack of oxygen. You can shout about ignorance, hypocricy and "your experience" till the cows come home, it doesn't make your argument automaticaly valid.

Wouldn't it be fully understandable and justifiable if Iran sought to have them as a deterrent?

It has seen its neighbour Iraq be invaded and occupied by US-led forces despite Iraq having no WMDs and despite Iraq allowing full access by UN weapons inspectors who found nothing.

My view is that either all countries are allowed to possess an effective deterrent, or no country should possess one.

Obviously the cost and technology would just be out of reach for many, but where it is achievable, then no-one should stand in their way.
