Borderlands 3

Been playing this on and off as, currently level 14 i think, ive had a few legendary weapons, currently using a shotgun Legendary but its starting to struggle against most mobs, playing as Fl4k.

Had a legendary sniper rifle as my first drop, what to people do with them when they out level them? just vendor them?

Not even found a sniper rifle that I’ve found useful yet. Just bin the majority of them straight off.

Might be my character choice, I don’t know. Playing as Zane with clone/sentinel perks.

I picked this up over the weekend, only had a quick dabble but like it so far.

I get between 65 to 80 FPS on a 5700xt and 2600x at 1440p so I think I will try and turn a few things down to get it nearer 100.

Also, I have picked up a shield, is there a way to actually use this or is it essentially just armour and I do not have to press any button whilst fighting to be protected? Finally is there a way to save that always saves progress as when I quit and re-start I sometimes find myself at the beginning of a camp I have just cleared out before.

Just put the shield in the shield slot in you inventory screen and it's good to go.

Saving is as and when you quit and you'll load up at the last, I think they're call new u, save point device you trigger. I tend to quit at one so I start back there.

I tend to fast travel to force a game save. It's worked every time so far.

It can be a little frustrating sometimes if you venture too far away from an area you've cleared 5 mins ago only to find it's repopulated with baddies though.

I've noticed with this game, the spawns tend to change up a bit each time a cleared area is repopulated. Nothing drastic, mind you, but enough to keep things interesting (for a couple of times at least lol).

Aye for sure.

Still don't know how I feel about just how frequently the loot drops in this game. Don't get me wrong, it's great getting quality drops so often, but it never feels like I have to work for them. BL2 had the right balance in that regard. Still, I'd rather it be like this then how it was in the Pre Sequel where the most productive way of getting legendaries was to farm the vending machines...

Started levelling Amara yesterday. Decided to farm mouthpiece for the Gatlin and the Mind Killer, got several variants within the first 6 runs and levelled up 3 times... gonna have to skip a few side quests to keep it challenging now!

2nd playthrough i used Amara and only completed the story missions i think i finished at about 29-30 then just PL on mayhem 2 to hit 50 in a couple of hours farming Gravewood and loot tinking offline, got to say the legendary drops are much better than earlier games, its all about the anointments now though.
I dont like that there is one standout build for each character (well the 2 ive played) been able to do solo M3 Slaughterhouse if the modifiers are kind but struggling to do much with sub optimal builds.

I know it doesn't ruin the game for others but why use glitches and offline cheats ? surely it dilutes the experience and fun.

I mean it's not hard to get legendaries farming bosses/map elites on Mayhem 3!

2nd character just had already done 80% of side missions with Flak, if i could skip dialogue might have done it normally but as you know the drops are pointless before 50, im now going back and doing the side quests i didn't complete first time round.

Will probably get Zane upto 50 this weekend, then play through TVHM if they ever let you skip the cut scenes, like you said its single player im not Glitching or cheating just playing the game how i want to, if i was gibbing guns i would consider that cheating, im just getting the drop rate that they swapped out about 2 days after i got the game.

I've played the game thru 4 times, got all characters to level 50, now I'm just having fun...farming for a few particular legendaries is just quicker this way.

Been playing this since launch and I’m only up to 37 with a single character and got a few missions to go still.

I must be doing it wrong or something. :p

My first play through with the wife was like that, we did absolutely everything, by the end of the story we were at level 45.

Not at all its a good game take your time and see everything, its what i did on BL2, BL1 and my firat play through., i started playing this game just as they started making the drops worse than launch, watching the falling gold was what tipped me over the edge into buying this coming from other RPGs with bad farming rates it seemed refreshing to get so much loot (even if in 10 runs you might get something that suited your build and then 1 in a 100 get something special), i got Flak to 50 and then they nerfed him (and the kings/queens call after i had farmed Tyreen for hours when i was very under equipped to).

there are shortcuts to take in farming/leveling, skipping some of the story/side missions(which have better drops if you complete at lvl50 M1), you can even PL totally like other RPGs if you have someone to piggyback on like other games, i wouldn't recommend this on your first play through though.
