Borderlands

What's the easiest way to arrange co-op play? I've got the game coming in the post tomorrow, can I just install steam and use the friends client in there? Or does this Gamespy thing (which people are now mentioning) do something similar? Forgive the newb questions please :o

Graphics look fantastic, love the art style. Just wandered about a bit and killed a few guys but already I think I'm going to really enjoy this game. Can't wait to play more tomorrow :)

Gamespy is just an application to browse games, follow and talk to friends, etc. Very similar to Steam, only it seems like it's required to play co-op on Borderlands.

Is anyone else getting an error when trying to open the game? :o I can't even play it... :p

God damn it this is stupid. Steam IDs are no use. Both people have to add friends and use Gamespy usernames.

Why it uses gamespy I have no idea... it doesnt add anything to the game.

Wow... This is SO much better on PC than 360 it's not even comparable. I'm a console gamer mainly, and this is just so so much better to play on the PC. On my aging rig, graphics are at max and look fantastic and I have a decent framerate as well. :D That's even before the shooting with a mouse which is just ridiculously better. I thought that it was a really hard game on the Xbox, but I think that that was just down to me not being able to aim at anything.

Anyone else having problems with join/hosting a co-op, private or public? Me and a mate are trying to do co-op, but in the friends list neither is joinable and it just times out when you send an invite.
