Borderlands

Picked this up this morning and have just installed and played for half an hour, I was expecting it to be a bit like Fallout 3 (which I hated, it's just Oblivion all over again but coated in nice layer of brown) but I was pleasantly surprised, enjoying it so far, excellent graphics and sound, weapons are class! Especially the one I picked up from 9 toes which has some kind of elemental, set things of fire effect.

if forced dx9 would i be able to increase the gfx? because im only on my lappy playing 800x600 all settings low lol

I'm level 8, when i killed the first bos i was lucky in that the 2 boss skags didn't run up to me they just stayed near their holes so i could easily shoot them :p

also be careful, i joined a coop last night, i was in some wierd new land and the other people were lvl20 and above. When i join sp this morning i spawned where i last was in coop but in sp mode, so i had to run through fields of big scary creatures trying not to get dead with a low powered pistol as i was out of sniper ammo, also i know have a load of crappy quests that are too high level for me sitting in my quest box making it look untidy!

Yes, you really do have to be careful. I was playing in a coop game before at my level. Things happened so quickly that when I left the game I completely lost my sense of direction, and had gained new quests that I dont know where they came from. Plus, they stole a load of guns that I can't get back. Coop was fun, but I think I will do it with my next character.

How did they steal guns you already owned?

This is lame. I've opened all the ports which has allowed me to invite people to my server, however if we start a game shortly after everyone gets kicked out.

Is this Gamespy or what?

can anyone help me out:

How do you turn AA for this game ?

And is there anyway get lover mouse sensitivity , as it is on lowest and still to sensitive also it looks like vertical is more sensitive the horizontal ?

You can find details of ini file tweaks here...

http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=79043

including enabling vsync, disabling the intro movies, disabling the in-game voice chat and disabling mouse smoothing.

Mouse smoothing off was the best tweak for me... when I installed it the game felt like it was performing terribly and I had to lower graphics options to low/medium... turns out it was the horrible mouse smoothing and, once disabled, I can rack the graphics up again and it's fine :)

Which ini file? I haven't done this before. :p Thanks. :)

EDIT: Ignore, I really should wait before posting sometimes. :o

BaseInput.ini by the way, in the /Engine/Config folder.

Open the above file in notepad, change mouse smoothing to false and also you should see a number that says sensitivity, you can change this, it will probably be a bit of trial and error till you get it right!
