Borderlands

Vehicles are far tougher than that. Certainly the vehicles in my game anyway :). I think I am getting used to mouse steering now. Took me a while to work out though!

Normal human mobs are np but with running over the bigger spider looking things (one you have to shoot from behind) take a lvl 30 bugy down to under a 100 health (1200 full) after running down 5-6 of them .

vehicles work fine for me, apart from mouse steering, also everything is one hit kill in vehicle its brilliant!

trust me it isn't crash into a bandit a few levle above you his health goes down, you're buggie blows up :p

it;'s only one hit for things about the same or lower level than you :p

I have tried to disable mouse smoothing as follows:

To disable mouse smoothing:
----------------------------
Within WillowInput.ini:
Search for "bEnableMouseSmoothing" and you should come across the following line:
Quote:
bEnableMouseSmoothing=True
Change to FALSE. This tremendously improves the feel of the mouse when looking around in-game and navigating the UI.

But it does not seem to have made any impact. Has anyone had success with this/another method?

Just been in a vehicle and it didn't crash, phew. I haven't had any issues either bar the terrible online and the lazy port niggles. You have to use page up and page down to scroll through text rather than using your mouse wheel, having to press escape and enter, little tw*tty things like that. and do we really need to press and hold "e" to pick up money and ammo? Let's just say that it's a given that I want it if I walk over it).

Just a warning... if you leave the game idle on the start menu it will run an intro which is COMPLETELY UNSKIPPABLE.

proper video or just the claptrap ****ing around in the background?

oh unskippable i thought it said "unspeakable" i was hoping for an epic funny video :(

You can enable mouse wheel in the text boxes/quests by fiddling with the config :)

To enable scroll wheel in text boxes:
-----------------------------------
Within WillowInput.ini

Search for all instances of the following (there should only be two instances):

InputKeyName="MouseScrollUp",ModifierKeyFlags=42
InputKeyName="MouseScrollDown",ModifierKeyFlags=42

remove the ",ModifierKeyFlags=42" so they look like:

InputKeyName="MouseScrollUp"
InputKeyName="MouseScrollDown"

Yeah, I had a look at the tweaks, it said something about it only working on the mission board so I didn't bother.

works fine in everything with a scroll option for me.

But fro mthe looks of it they actually made it so you needed the pg up/down rather than mosue wheel as you actually delete an entry to make it work with just the wheel.

seems very strange.

my scroll worked on the mission board anyway :p

level 11 now, anyone else find they are doing one or two missions then quitting and doing something else?

Seriously enjoying this game :D

It reminds me of your typical mmo, except instead of clicking on enemy and pushing a number that correlates to a move, you get to aim and shoot sniper rifles :p

Likewise. I really like the feel of the guns. Everything just plays so well. Cant wait to get to higher levels and to do some more coop during a different playthrough.

That's good analogy, it reminds me of games where you use the mouse and push buttons.

A game created for co-op, marketed on co-op and suffers from a lack of decent co-op on release :/. This is driving me insane.

Tried Tunngle and Hamachi with no luck and have no idea how to port forward. Yay.

Yay, managed to drive vehicles, it looks like its a glitch with scooters speech when you first get in the car

Anyone managed to get coop working?

Anyone else ****ing hate that little robot?

Apart from him im really enjoying the game - looking forward to getting a bit further into it and trying some co-op.

I guess people are going SP for the majority of the first playthrough?

Yes, not really sure why. I do a quest or two, then quit and have a break. Then start playing again.

Still not sure of where to take my soldier build. I have 3 slots now, in which are a pistol (did have an SMG), a combat rifle and a sniper rifle.

I have put my skill points into extra health, one into the turret heal, and the rest into my weapon damage. Think I will next move toward getting the extra combat rifle damage. Seem to be skipping the supply skills.

Just after I finished playing for dinner I found a "hunter" mod type thing which I sold for 10,000 (since I am not a hunter)...that was fun :). This was from a crate that I found in the starting area that consistently gives level 24, 25 items (but with level 13-14 guys protecting it). Useful, for now :)
