Borderlands

I was meaning to ask, I completed the story and am lv 36 I think, are there any kind of special areas that open up after the story is complete or possible any areas I could have missed? I really do enjoy just messing around killing stuff so if there are any higher level areas that would be cool.

:(

It worries me sometimes that due to gaming pretty much having turned every possible trick at this point, story is the one big stairway that they can still try to climb yet some developers still pay so little attention to it.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good story, which is why I tend to play RPGs, but this game wasn't developed with story being the focus, it's loot farming and baddie blasting, and doesn't claim to be anything more.

At least I enjoy this, compared to the isometric hack n slashes like Diablo/Titan Quest.

You do have a point there, I think I am just angry at how aweful the end of the story was, I still really enjoy the game though, going to be playing it tonight.

Yes, I have to agree. This game never claimed to have an in depth story. At least it isnt a mindless grind...just lots of guns guns and more guns. If you want story/immersion play Mass Effect or probably Dragon Age when it comes out this week.

Im stuck on a boss at the moment, think I might to low a level to take him on im level 14.Is it possible to leave missions and come back to them later?

is it sledge around 14? he was pretty hard if it is him, killed me a few times before i found a sneaky way to beat him :p

edit: seeing the above posts, Sledge was the hardest boss outside of the marley and moe quests (they were hard!) for me. i only beat sledge by standing in the doorway and shooting him between the door opening and closing. everything else has been reasonably straight forward, once i realised you can cover under convenient buildings when fighting raks from above! i'm only lvl 26 though atm.
