i agree, definitely no lasting appeal.
you'd get better and longer play out of it not even attempting single player, but going with a team of 4.

£6+ for the DLC? not gonna bother

Most strange. My Borderlands is updating itself. I wonder if it's giving me the DLC for free. LOL. Or perhaps downloading it so it could be unlocked in future.

Lost my save games, gonna be a while before I can be arsed to play it again.

It is imo a good game but the enjoyment was pretty short lived what with it being a little more repetitive than most games.

Very unlikely I'll be opting for the DLC, unless there are some major gameplay additions.

definitely, need some more vehicles, customisable characters, with items etc.

Thinking about getting this for my Dad for Christmas. Is it as enjoyable playing on your own as it is in co-op? Watched the Gamespot review and they constantly mentioned how much better it was when played in a group. Cheers

I played it through solo and really enjoyed it so online play isn't necessary but it is fun.

Its spoilt hugely by the fact you have to invest a lot of time before the game actually becomes challenging. My Soldier on Playthrough 1 spent the second half of the game holding W+M1 with an LMG and an Ammo Regeneration Classmod. It finally gets challenging on Playthrough 2, if you haven't already lost interest by this point, especially when you need to do this for every character...

This is one of my favorate games in a long time. You have to accept its more about the killing and the loot (whoever described it like diablo was spot on) than an indepth story line.
