Aye, I think the environment is too dry. I can't see any mould anywhere.Mould needs moisture, so likely the bread is too dry on the outside to allow spores to grow

What bread did you use? I think McDonalds would be interested in finding out
That is most upsetting. This is Hovis land.I know right. It was just a loaf of Kingsmill from Aldi.

I'm just glad you didn't say Warb... no I can't make myself say it.
Nothing really. It's just a old meme here, where to prove (pun not intended) a picture was yours (in MM and such) you posted the item with a loaf of Hovis in shot. What's wrong with Warburtons? Their Seeded Batch is probably my favourite processed bread.
Decent advert to not buy mass produced bread, this.
If you'd gone with Warburtons Wholemeal it would probably have gone mouldy on day 3I know right. It was just a loaf of Kingsmill from Aldi. Not sure what's happened to the bottom though, it's been sucked right in. We were planning to run it for 3 weeks until it went mouldy but looks like we'll need to carry it on...!

We find it's often got mould before the best before date regardless of where we store it.

I have an open packet of Mini Cheddars which was bought 18 months ago. It's still edible.
