Bought an old BMW M3, filled with regret...

I can understand an owner who wants to spend money on making their car the best example out there. I feel respraying is pointless unless the car cosmetically definitely needs it. Stone chips are common and are irritating but there isn't much to combat them unless you get a clear coat wrap or something.

Clear coat wrapping is almost as much as the full respray quote above lol. Sod that. Maybe I should just treat it like "battle scars" - a sign of proper usage? :D

Speaking of usage, my little cousins were upset they didn't get a ride, so before I left for home I gave them a ride, can't be leaving anyone unhappy now, especially the little ones, they don't forget these things!

Take a guess who enjoyed it more haha!

It's an ongoing thread of how I myself and passengers are enjoying the car. I think it's fine.

But then I'd want to respray the front then clear wrap it, no point wrapping a front end that's already got some stone chips/scratches. It's £450 to spray the front end, and another wad of that to clear wrap.

Talk about tough crowd. Moans when many pictures are posted and not enough time "behind the wheel", Moans when time behind the wheel is posted also :p

Welcome to OcUK motors etc.

Caption competition anybody? :p :D

Cute little ones mate! :)

Nothing wrong with mrk's thread, this IS a motorists forum and he's posting about a car worthy of enthusiasm. :)

It could be worse guys, I could - maybe should? - post daily truck updates, or just think if I finally source that elusive pristine e38 that constantly eludes me? ;) :p

I think one of the captains at work has the elusive e38 you're looking for! Want me to put in a word? :p

Strictly 2 seats only. The extra reinforcements to the chassis take up some additional room along the flooring or something like that. It does mean the rear seats are more comfortable though as you're surrounded by more leather padding.

I've got new headlamp lenses to fit later today, would be at it now but have to show my face around a wedding I don't really fancy attending but hey ho, free food :p
Long as it's not raining later I'll get to it. Turns out BMW made the M3 lenses super easy to replace as you don't need to take the whole light unit out, just pop off the indicator lens, undo the lower trim after flushing the washer fluid and popping off the washer jet, then pop off the 6 clips mounting the lens and hotswap the lens.

Strangely not a single video diy guide on it, only the non M3 models where you must take out the whole unit and take other bits apart.

Let's see if it's as easy it reads to be.
