Bought some expired medication from Tescos

I'm after some advice on whom the best person would be to make a formal complaint.

Just a brief background on what happened. I've had the nastiest man flu this week. Last evening as a last resort, I went to a large 24/7 Tesco to pick me up some medication. I bought Lemsip Max as there was no night nurse available.

After arriving home and kicking back, I checked how often the dosage should be. I noticed the EXP date was: 07/2011.

It was then that I felt like taking my keyboard and to beat everyone up in Tescos. I'm not a happy chappy. And I'm not feeling great either.

I find it alarming that this kind of stuff is happening in such a large chain. And more importantly, it's my well being here. If I do die, someone here can have dibs on my 32GB touchpad.

Has anyone got a direct email I can forward my complaint to and any words of advice/wisdom?

Thank you fellow keyboard bashers.

I'd take it back to the Tesco you bought it from. Or email/write to them. Having worked for them in the Customer Service Centre, I'd recommend this to calling them.

This is why i check for expiration on all food and liquid and medicines before buying. People always look at me strange when i check the expiration on lager at the bottom of the can. Nothing worse than a expired lager.

I think you're well within your rights to expect a face to face appointment with Sir Richard Broadbent. Read him the riot act and then dump on his desk. For an organisation of that scale to drop the ball this badly deserves a public apology and a poohy desk. Either that or take back the lemsip next time you go to the store.
