Boxing Day Footie *spoilers be inside*

Chelsea have been a bit over rated, they are no where near a league winning team without Essien. They had a strong start but seem just as inconsistent as everybody else, there's no clear winner at the minute and it might depend on transfer activity in January.

Yes Chelsea are strong, but when the ball is at their feet they're not extraordinary, and I like to think football matters

I'm here. I've said Chelsea will win the title and I stand by that. Not only do they have the best team IMO, they also have daylight between themselves and the chasing pack, and have the unexpected bonus of being able to deal in the January transfer market. Their closest rivals (in points terms) have more injuries at the moment which should compensate for the effects of the ACoN.

Well, at the start of the season I said I thought Chelsea would probably win the title, and I still do think that, but the title-race is certainly not over. A couple of weeks ago, people were writing off the season completely as Chelsea were too far ahead. I don't recall you being one of them.

Its certainly a lot more interesting this year. Chelski havent been looking great with their africian players so without them they will drop further pts in my opinion. They have been lucky over the last few games to get some draws not alone wins.

It's quite exciting, I can't remember the last time there have been 3 legitimate teams who could go on and win the league at this stage of the season. January will be a massive month. I think despite injuries to both Arsenal and Man Utd they've both done really well to keep up with Chelsea who really have no excuses. I can't believe we are 2 points away from invincible Chelsea having lost 5 games already before christmas. And for the most part I think we've played pretty poorly so far. Can't wait until the second half of the season where we really turn it up a notch.

edited for accuracy ;)

(Im only saying this because we have usually got into our stride already previous to this in past seasons - so no gaurentee we will this season)

Spurs 1-0

Modric

Also, happy birthday to PK and Tute. Have a good one guys! :)

That also means PK joins the Sports Arena old folks club, JG, Rotty or Big Kev will be along shortly to initiate you into their elderly fraternity. :p

I know what you're saying, hopefully with a few players returning from injury, we'll find our stride soon. Chelsea drawing 3 games and losing 1 in December gives us all hope. :p

My mate is at the game says that it has been 100% spurs so far (though he is biased). Also saying quite a bit of acting and going to ground clutching body parts going on for the west ham players.

Who is showing the game? Need to know which pub to go to :)
