Brand New *Mostly Vanilla* Minecraft 1.21.1 Trial Chambers Update server now up and running! TheMustardSeedReborn

They're a pita aren't they? :eek::D

Yes, sure. The trading hall is for anyone to use. There is a mechanism is which you can "infect" and then "cure" the villagers to get them to lower their trades, you'll need golden apples for that though, and the gold farm has currently been severely nerfed, although it does still work with slower rates and doesn't give XP any more (Damn you Mojang). WRT mob farms, what do you need? There's a gunpowder farm and an XP farm. Gold farm also drops rotten flesh. There's a spider farm out in a mesa somewhere as well iirc

Gimme a list of mats and I'll see what I can farm up for the project as well!!

I got creeper bombed at the "spawn" the iorn farm seems OK but in not sure if I broke the bone one?
.sorry happy to help fix but by the time I got back everything had despawned and I really don't get what the mechanism does
Oh noes - did you get your stuffs back though? Yar, that farm is in spawn chunks, so is always loaded, which is why the bits despawned.
I'll have a look in a bit, it'll be a simple enough fix. I'll probably spend some time torch spamming as well, make it a bit safer lol!
Copper for the roof would be nice, there's not much other use for copper other than decoration!

This seems like the best thread to ask in:

I'm running my own Minecraft server on a little home lab machine. Have I assumed right that leaving it running has no advantages if my player isn't connected? I.e., if I set up farms or whatever, they won't be running because me not being connected means those chunks aren't loaded, and so aren't simulated?
Essentially, that is correct. There are *some* exceptions, spawn chunks are always loaded whilst the server is on regardless of playercount, plus there are ways of chunk-loading in the vanilla game, but that's a more advanced/technical type of play.
I have the iron farm in spawn chunks on this server specifically so it runs 24/7 :)

Exciting news - I'm changing the host of TheMustardSeed, so the connection is now different:

themustardseed.duckdns.org

to connect, and

for the dynmap. The dynmap will need to be re-rendered, but that's a slow process, so http://themustardseed.mcserver.ws:8123/ will still be up for a few more weeks to show the explored areas.

The world map and player progression remains the same. You may need to reclaim your builds, holla at me if you've run out of claim blocks!

Any problems connecting, also give me a shout, either on here or on the discord. Both worlds will run for a few more weeks, until the renewal runs out on .mcserver.ws I won't be transferring any progress on .mcserver.ws to duckdns.org so fair warning to only connect with the new deets

Cheers y'all

Thanks. Just logged in and had a quick look around. I'll be back on tomorrow :)
No problemo - catch you in game.

I've just started a full render for Dynmap, so it should fill in the explored map. This is a lengthy process, and it *might* cause the TPS to drop (although it hasn't done so far). Once the overworld is re-rendered, I'll redo the nether and end dimensions too, which should take a lot less time!

Hey Sylvet - hope you're well!
Dynmap has finished the overworld render - only took 4 days!! lol. Nether now mid-render, and will do the end once it's done. Should be a *LOT* quicker to do those two dimensions. To that end, use the newest dynmap link in the OP.
Server is now a dedi machine, with 8Gb ram allocated to the server, so it's pretty robust. Catch y'all in-game! Ham

Nice I was hoping for it to be updated to 1.21!

Is it possible for bedrock minecraft to connect to this server just like I can to other servers that are mainly java but support crossplay?
Now running 1.21.1 with the usual QOL plugins! I've added a plugin called Geyser that is meant to allow cross platform play, but I've no way of testing to see if it works.
