Brave US Police Officer Tackles Crime

I wish we handled skateboarders like that over here. Bloody menace all of them. We spend god knows how many hundreds of thousands of pounds building playgrounds for thgese people yet they decide to roll around the streets making a racket and annoying people.
And where is this skate park in Gloucester?

Pepper spray isn't like shooting someone - they get over it pretty quick you know!

EDIT - and they were perverting the course of justice, he was outnumbered so had to use reasonable force. He could've pulled out his gun - that would have been OTT, putting two people in a headlock is far far far from OTT (as it is a poop thing to do).

It is criminal how he has made millions by exploiting gullible people encouraging them to buy merchandise that is based around a childs game. ;)

Yes becuase that's what he did. He didn't make money by being very good at a competitive sport and having a fan base because of that.

Oh wait. David Beckham = Crim

The effects of pepper spray seem a little variable. It's certainly not something that should be used without a VERY good reason.

EDIT - Particularly interesting...

The US Army concluded in a 1993 Aberdeen Proving Ground study that pepper spray could cause "Mutagenic effects, carcinogenic effects, sensitization, cardiovascular and pulmonary toxicity, neurotoxicity, as well as possible human fatalities. There is a risk in using this product on a large and varied population

The 'police' pepper spray is quite weak. The military one is 100s of times more potent. But I think the 'police' one was used for the tests according to wiki.

However, almost everything causes "Mutagenic effects, carcinogenic effects, sensitization, cardiovascular and pulmonary toxicity, neurotoxicity, as well as possible human fatalities".

There was a simple solution here, WALK AWAY. I don't condone the officer's actions, but I don't condemn them.

thats what you get for trying to run away from the law

oh and by the way that video is cut , theres an extended vid out there (you tube etc ) thats shows them running away from police , shouting abuse at the police etc

he shudda shot the little *******

was atleast ten of them all with weapons in there hands , hes probly seen the "hilarious" (yeah right ) videos on you tube of skateboarders caving security guards heads in with there boards etc

they need to grow up and get a reality check , wich that officer just gave them :D

for christs sake its in america or canada , theres a skatepark round every corner

Lol, the woman did deserve that for being so stubborn.

If the officer in question can honestly say, that he used the force that was necessary for that situation, then I am with him. Some of the young adults there did run from the police, so technically they are felons. Why run if you had done nothing wrong?

I say good on the copper and a touch of pepper spray wouldn't have gone a miss.

What is worse are the skateboarders in their twenties - ffs grow up!

That is a horrendous attitude...

Can't believe some of the comments posted in this thread tbh. No way I can say that cop did the right thing. He didn't, and he needs to show a bit of respect if he wants to recieve a bit of respect.

In the main park itself, although the majority of them seem to favour knocking down shoppers in King's Square.

Sixty*******grands worth!

Imagine what the outcome would be if those are black kids!
Probably, nothing would happen it would be a case of another negro been arrested. :p

I'd imagine full-scale riots, complete with the looting and fire-bombing of their own neighbourhood, would probably break out. :D ;)
