Brazilian Grand Prix 2011, Interlagos Circuit - Race 19/19

Massa's lid for Brazil, people on here can say what they like about him but 100 GP's for Ferrari is something he can always feel very proud about....not too shabby for a guy always being replaced, driven with MS, Kimi and Alonso, considering those team mates he has done very well to reach 100 with Ferrari.

Yeah - Massa's had some very tough competition in his career, and was even world champion for a few seconds!

He's a great driver on his day, he just doesn't have the consistency :-(

I'd love for him to win a WDC but he would really need to raise a gear or two.

Just wonder sometimes how much of his slowness is down to the team strategy/team orders.

2008 says hello.....2009 he was dominating Kimi until Hungary, he has not been the same since nearly dying, but he was fine without TC.

How many times did he spin in 2008? There were constant jokes about him spinning that year. The car (joint best on the grid) was the reason he almost won the championship. Had Kimi not suffered as many mechanical faults and Hamilton crashing into him while at a red light, he'd have probably won. I believe Kimi beat or equalled the record for number of fastest laps that year.

Massa was (good but) never great before the accident, and he's not gotten any better.

Massa and kimi were pretty even in 2009

Other than Silverstone, not a lot but that was raining and his setup was all wrong. He had double the points of Kimi at Hungary IIRC. Saying he got worse without TC is really not true. You can say about having the best car to nearly any driver doing well in the championship so it's not really a valid point.

Massa had his share or mechanical problems as well, Hungary losing the race win so close to the end, and Singapore epic fail in the pitlane by the mechanics, with a help of dirty cheating by Renault :D

Interlagos is always good.

I think F1 needs more of a mix of circuits. Interlagos is certainly different with it's accents and decents, and the super short laptimes.

I'd like to see a few longer circuits too, with laptimes in the few minutes.

Practice 1 times
