Brazilian Grand Prix 2011, Interlagos Circuit - Race 19/19

Cool forgot bbc red button had classic gp's on! Got Brazil last year :)

Just realised how spoilt we are without Legard now too...

I've been watching FP1 and all 5 of jensen's favourite races today, good stuff. Going to watch FP2 at 3.55pm.

You know something? I used to think Murray Walker was good back in the day. But listening to his commentaries now, he makes Legard sound like a professional.

Grosjean is the fastest Renault driver again, and around a track Senna ought to know well.

Why? Senna has spent most of his racing career in Europe.

I thought the same thing. Murray just sounded a bit... away with the fairies. But Leggard, OMFG that guy never shuts up!

And how the hell did we let the Bridgestone tyres get to that stage? 60 laps on a single set?

I've had BBC Red Button on since FP1 finished and loving it. Sky, take note...

I know what you both mean, its so weird hearing Murray and remembering what a hero he was but also how confused he could be. Think it was down to his natural charm and enthusiasm...

Leggard on the other than I'm glad to see the back of there. In the Brazil highlights last year he cut off Martin too many times to stand!

Ok then they both know the track equally well and Grosjean is just better :D
Hulk beat Di Resta too.

2 drivers beating team mates who have no experience of Interlagos in first practice, hardly surprising when both Grosjean and Hulkenberg have raced here in F1 before. Hulkenberg in particular has fond memories having qualified pole last year.

Both drivers certainly deserve drives next year and I suspect they'll get them.

There was one race today where Murray Walker and Martin Brundle shared the commentary and Murray continually shouted over Brundle with his very basic exclamations of excitement. Today, Brundle and Coulthard are far more technical with their commentary which makes it more interesting with all the facts they shed during the course of a GP, it's just much better. They don't continually blurt out "THIS IS A GREAT RACE!", "YOU'RE WATCHING A SENSATIONAL RACE!" :D

I like it

From Lewis Hamilton on Facebook

Also great to see the times so close, but didn't watch it.

The old BBC commentaries are interesting to listen too. Murray had a charm all of his own, but whether he actually understood what was going on is debatable. :D He's quite measured in the early 80's stuff, but things get a little out of control towards the end of his career. James Hunt, though... He knew the score.

I'm with you on that.

If it cheers Lewis up a bit, then that's cool, but I've never cared for the Senna comparisons.
