Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

Pat Fry confirms to SKY it was a oil / slippery track , flag not a yellow. Back to BBC for their forum,

Sucks so hard for hamilton, winning the race pulling away from button at a nice pace gets slowed by a pack of dazed and confused traffic and the hulk smacks him out.

That has to hurt and another 25 points lost as well.

And JB didnt deserve it from pulling away initially upto 40 seconds or so before the 1st safety car?

Sorry to be super critical, but Lewis needs to learn a lesson from today

1) Tricky corner in the dry let alone in the wet
2) Relative rookie on the inside
3) LH didnt NEED to push right then

I'm still confused why Hulkenberg got a penalty too. The one at the start of the race was more of a penalty

Hulk I can understand, its his job to understand that his braking will be comprimised if he jumps up the inside and if he causes contact its his fault, it's just a slightly mitigating factor. Vettel, no idea, certain people seem to get away with stuff all the time.

Brundle just tweeted

To answer many it appears the warning lights were red and yellow for slippery track not yellow so nothing to answer for Vettel.

That might excuse the yellow flag, but he flat out caused a collision, with no issues with the track conditions causing it, just turned in on Senna and caused Senna to hit someone else as well, he caused damage to 3 cars including his own, not a clue how that isn't a penalty.

I can't help but feel overall he gets away with a lot as does the team, a wing everyone knows breaks the spirit of the rules, but passes a ridiculously awful test. I love the innovation of their car, I really do, but a clear set of rules so everyone at least follows the same rules rather than ambigious ones that certain teams willfully misinterpret to their advantage I really don't like.

IE if the rules said, the wings can flex, then Red bull would have the same wing they do now, but other teams would all have tried to develop their own.

And it's exactly that mentality that means Lewis will never be a great.

That cinematic ending by the BBC was utterly fantastic! I love the BBC's coverage of the F1.

What a season this was. Really happy Vettel took it but can't help feel sorry for Alonso, drove so well! Can't wait for next year now!

The rules are not ambiguous, peoples understanding of them is.
