Brazilian Grand Prix 2013, São Paulo - Race 19/19

You make it sound like it was a monsoon. F1 has had less visibility behind the safety car than that, as have Indycar. It easy to make a wuss statement against F1, but you could at least do so without discrediting the series you're trying to up.

Regardless, nobody can deny that F1s constant avoidance of wet weather to such an extent that they hardly ever run in conditions that actually require wet tyres is a joke.

Every single time they delay for wet weather, when they finally let them go it's already dry enough for a switch to inters. We've seen them delay it and then they switch to slicks after only a handful of laps after being allowed to drive. It's incredibly frustrating and as bad as the cars unlapping themselves adding 4 extra safety car laps rule.

Well, God forbid that they actually challenge the alleged best racing drivers in the world....

Oh, sorry Glaucus. There I go again, hating on the greatest sport ever. When will I learn how utterly awesome F1 is right now and how it's so much better than it ever was? *sigh*

***edit***

Hey, with a bit of luck they may just get some rain tomorrow and decide to cancel the race. Then we can get this interminable season over with, and move on.

Standing water is a problem for cars as low as F1 cars, that's acceptable, but the nannying from the FIA is pathetic. None of the conditions today warranted anything more than wet weather tyres, perfectly demonstraited by all the drivers changing to inters as soon as the session started.

Unfortunately, this is the way F1 is going.
Safety is being taken too far, and as such, water on the track is seen as hazardous and therefore un-raceworthy.

The other thing which is being taken too far is the Stewards taking a look at virtually every single overtake or incident. I am taking a strong dislike to the Stewards.

These points are minor, though. My main gripe with F1 is RBR's dominance and I am hoping that Merc, Ferrari and Lotus are able to compete for wins, next year. Watching Vettel win every race, with apparent ease is getting ridiculously predictable.

No love for mclaren sunama?

He's on record as being unhappy with the direction McLaren have taken, even as far back as 2008 (when McLaren got rid of Alonso).

Well, personally I think you have that completely backwards. But then, you and I very rarely agree on such things!

There was a great moment between Eddy and Suzy today just after Q2 where Eddy contracts a dose of foot in mouth disease again with a comment. It was a little uncomfortable to watch at the time. I actually thought there was going to be a massive argument for a second.

Suzy, getting rained on: "Erm, do you want to put the umbrella over me a bit, thanks Eddie!"

Eddy: "Well er..I wasn't going to.. because er.. I didn't want to get too close for er.. all sorts of reasons!"

Suzy looks at camera in shock with jaw dropped.

Eddy realising his fopar: "But anyway.. never mind!!"

Eddy then tries to quickly skip past that comment and asks Suzy who's going to be on poll.

Suzy: "Well, you're the man with the crystal ball"

Eddy: "No, no, no, don't shmooze me now.."

Suzy, seemingly a little angry but trying to keep it light for the viewers "I'm NOT shmoozing you, especially after you've just said what you've said about me!"

:D

Saw that too and thought it was an odd thing to say.
Wonder what he was thinking?!

That's odd just saw his crash again 20 mins ago and wondered if the gearbox would be be alright.

So these seem to know Perez and Hulk at FI and Lotus will tell us Monday that moldyface is their 2nd driver.
