Brazilian Grand Prix 2015, São Paulo - Race 18/19

I think it's perfectly acceptable to call out a race as being boring.
We're all in an F1 thread, we probably all have a strong like for F1. Pretty much stuck, and have to watch all the races, but the current rules frequently make for boring racing.

Whatever happened to the overtaking workgroup? Did they all die of stupidity?

It does, it's a horrible track under this formula, not a great track in general. The corner sections are impossible to pass in, the difficulty of that corner section going into that final straight means it's hard for anyone to remain close out of the corner before flooring it so only a serious advantage can realistically get you by. Outside of dives into turn 1 there was basically no other action on the entire track.

Only when it rains does the final twisty section become driver skill and possible for the guy behind to be closer because it's so much slower and slippery and wet means a lot of mistakes. In the dry it's frequently one of the worst races of the year.

It's not no overtake Monaco, but it's pretty close. Monaco generally is awful but at least exciting in qualifying, Barcelona, Brazil, couple others, usually dire races.

I like Hamilton on the track, but had the drivers been reversed positions here today it would have been equally as dire.

That was generally boring with flashes of fun.

I thought one of the commentators made an interesting point: Hamilton hasn't been on pole since they changed the tyre pressures.
