Good luck to Nico if he takes the championship this weekend.

Whatever anyone thinks of Rosberg (I'm no fan but no hater of his either) he's clearly been very hungry to win the WDC hence some dirty play along the way. But I think becoming a champion will calm him down. He'll have achieved his lifetime dream which will probably make him become a nicer person and driver and perhaps even fairly popular. I also haven't noticed any booing in the last few races.

If it's unsettled I can see either of the Mercs spinning out or getting into a smash.

Realistically there's only 2 walls you can hit (exceptional circumstances (see the 2003 rivers) excluded). I don't think there's any gravel any more so it's only Ferradura and the run to Pinhirinho where you can really come a cropper, though Grosjean succeeded in having a heavy crash in Mergulho a few years ago too.

I think Rosberg needs to win this WDC for the sake of his mental health :D

I'm no Rosberg fan either but i think him winning to WDC will do him, Mercedes and his friendship with Lewis a favour. He knows this year may be his final chance if RB are going to be as good as everyone keeps saying next year. (Possibly starting a new era of F1 dominance.) If he wins this, which i think he will he'll chill right out and be far less of a nob :o  as he'll be able to say forever more that he is/was a world champion.

Kinda warming to Nico taking the title. I realise that all those years at Ferrari, I wanted Massa to get a title, all those years at Red Bull, I wanted Webber to get a title. Would be hypocritical of me almost to not wish the best for Nico :p

Can't say I want Nico to win at all.

I appreciate it isn't his fault that Lewis has had more technical issues. I appreciate the most deserving driver doesn't always win the WDC in F1. I appreciate that he's been pretty consisntant and can only drive the race in front of him.

However, he's proven on multiple occasions that he's a dirty cheat who can't win wheel-to-wheel, so has to find underhand ways of gaining an advantage.

If any of you are interested in a weather report. Had a huge amount of rain last night, run offs are soaked. It is still lightly raining with just over an hour till FP3.

Clouds are not clearing so it could well be a wet qualifying.

Hamilton with good pace again. If rosberg doesn't win either of these races it will make his WDC win even more of a joke. Would be good for the team next season though if others catch them.

If it's a wet qualifying I predict Hamilton and the RB's in the top 3 spots with a despondent Rosberg in 4th. At least that's what I'd like to see, would make for quite the thrilling race imo.

Rosberg to out-brake himself and smash Hamilton off at T1, followed shortly by this place in meltdown?

Calling it now.

Nico to go out at first corner

I hope we end up with rosberg nowhere in this race and then a winner takes all in the final race.

Phew! I was beginning to think this was a forum of Rosberg fans.

If he doesn't win tomorrow then I can definitely see this happening at Abu Dhabi.

Either that, or he will park his car in a escape road during Q3.

We've seen other drivers cause collisions to secure a championship and we've seen Rosberg cause collisions when he's under pressure of being passed in the championship fight so it's not exactly outrageous to suggest he might do it. The question is, can he get away with it, is he planning/thinking about it and might do it in a pre-meditated way or if it happens is it spur of the moment, stupid and obvious.

I mean if it's wet, he's back in 4th or something and struggling maybe he stays out while Hamilton pits and decides to 'slide' into a corner as Hamilton tries to overtake him.
