I don't think ham has been this happy or relaxed in years, bit odd as he's odds on to losse. But suppose he's doing all he can and still climbing the stats tree.

I think that's it for the WDC now. Barring anything happening with Rosberg's car in Abu he will just do the bare minimum required now. I can even see him happily finishing third if it meant an easy race.

Schumy built that team do not forget that he didn't do like Lewis walk into teams which was already at top which he has done at all the teams he has been a.(Rosberg & Schumy put up with the awful years helping Mercedes team)

Too many rose tinted spec people in here when it comes to Lewis and regarding few posts up claiming Lewis was great because of the gap well remember he had clear track no spray for a start that is a massive difference and he could set the pace for the restarts.

I would call it a smart move to move to merc when he. Merc on top when he moved but could see they were moving up.

He loves his life, earns a fortune, is breaking records and knows that if not for his car issues would have won again like previous years. It will be good for Mercedes next year if Rosberg wins this year.

I mean, odds, sure, but ultimately there was no point for Hamilton fighting or trying anything here. He's within the 12 points now, he has the win under his belt and how he has nothing to lose.

Now he has things he can do. A track with better overtaking, he'll be thinking about backing Rosberg up into people, maybe trying to force Rosberg to try to overtake and push him to the edge see if he can't force him to make a mistake, etc.

This race wasn't the race for that due to conditions and the type of track it is here, Abu Dhabi now will be the race for that. I hope he doesn't do anything overly naughty, tough, sure, borderline, sure, if he just hits Rosberg and hopes his car survives I'll be disappointed, though that is why I don't want Rosberg to win because he's been a cheat and caused collisions with his team mate this year.

Umm, did you see how big the gap was before the safety car? did you see the gap at the end?

Rosberg did enough but only because the only competition went for the wrong tyres.

Okay, well let me rephrase, between Max and Lewis for DotD, who would you have had on the podium beside them then? Rosberg deserved to be up there.
No one in the rest of the field was better, or frankly even close.

The best Hamilton can hope for is the Abu Dhabi heat causes Rosberg's engine to go bang. I'd rather see it settled on track personally, but it's still not over.

Max should have had 2nd (maybe even 1st) if it wasn't for lolMassa or the questionable tyre choice of RB and Williams.

Button saying he's normally pretty good in the wet.

Also being very melodramatic about the conditions .

I guess we know which drivers were saying the conditions were too bad to drive on.
