Again as stated from another poster, he is looking to break records now and set them high so they hopefully wont be beaten for some time, thats typically what you do when you become the record holder. Most world records get trounced, not beaten by a 0.5% margin.

Is he looking to set a points record? Surely points records in F1 mean nothing as pretty much every year the championship winner will have had points handed to them by their subservient teammate, as as happened in this very season with Perez and Max "Thanks Mate" Verstappen.
 
I'm glad George won a race as he was owed one from Bahrain. However, I do think it's about time we have a rule that if you cause a red flag in qualifying you lose all your times in that session. It's not correct that you can benefit from your own red flag, accidental or not.

I don't know if Perez crashed deliberately in Monaco, but it's clear that Max and Red Bull believe it. I think Red Bull covering up their own driver cheating comes to the surprise of absolutely no one. It'll probably get swept under the rug like the cost cap cheating.

How embarrassing for Red Bull though to have your driver let you know who's boss publicly on team radio like that. If I was in charge at Red Bull I'd be benching Max for the next race to show that no driver is above the team.

I'm still trying to figure out why the drivers would even care that much about 2nd or 3rd.

Points records a totally pointless metric anyway, points systems changed about 4 times in the time Alonso has been racing! Plus now the sprint points and FL points.

Pretty much everything outside the WCC is pointless. WDC probably helps a bit with marketing and gives the drivers an individual goal.

Yeah but he wants to make it impossible to beat because no one remembers who won the championship, they remember who got the most points in a season ever in an constantly changing points system.

The mental gymnastics to justify Max's ******** is quite something to behold from some people.

FWIW I don't actually believe him either. I'm pretty certain every single driver on the grid would want to be the best there ever was, with the most championships to their name etc. But if you (Max) said that previously on multiple occasions, then do something as drastic as what he's just done, then well I dunno, that's still just proving the point that he's more two-faced and selfish than anyone had even imagined.

Do you remember what you was saying a couple pages ago? You used this as justification of it being correct and moved your argument point to sit behind that. Now you are saying that you dont believe it.

Whoever replies to Scam from now on, as it wont be me, is 100% wasting their time.
