Breaking Bad Season 4

I don't think there's any trouble with the pacing or the plotting of this series so far. Gilligan did take longer to write this series than the previous three (hence why it took so long to come back) in order to craft what he hoped would be a truly brilliant story.

I'm enjoying it a lot at the moment. Very cerebral.

Its only a matter of time before Skylar finds out who Walt is in the drug world through Hank's stories. She might even find out the real reason why Hank is in a chair.

lol at the forklift scene. Kinda like a flashback to the time when Walt and Jesse stole those barrels and carried them instead of rolling them. Doing it the wrong way.

Interesting thought from my flatmate:

What's the likelihood of Walt using the car wash as a front much in the same way Gus does for his meth lab?

Series five, anyone?

I found the first 3/4 episodes tremendously boring by BB's standards, episode 5 was top notch though.

They seem to be having a great deal of trouble with where the story is going, we're almost halfway through the season and no real story arc has begun to develop yet. I'm glad they've settled with making just one more season.

I think that this confusion and slow pacing is all part of the plan and we'll get an absolutely killer ending that ties everythign together.

It does that every season. Everyone just remembers the hard hitting episodes. Theres always a few slow episodes to knock your expectations down a little so the big stuff hits even harder.

hmm dunno. He would have to start a chain. Maybe at the end of the series he ends up becoming Gus and running his business? or.. it just ends with Walt dying of cancer. :(

Actually, it should end with Hank arresting Walt.

Wonder what their plans are for Jesse now?

I dont uderstand why Jesse is such a ***** to Walt, he talks to him like he doesnt like him but seems to get on alright with that grumpy old guy

Yeah, and Walt hasn't really thanked him for it, has he? Plus he constantly treats Jesse like a child, deserved or not.

That, and Jesse is a little unstable. I dunno if you've noticed that yet. ;)

He wouldn't need to start a chain. If Gus can bring in industrial quantities of chemicals alongside the cleaning chemical he buys for the laundry his lab is a front for then Walter could do the same.

Oh yea, I forgot thats how Gus does it with his laundry business. Car wash could be used just like that. He could even have his own super lab.

I see their relationship as a father and son relationship. Walt cares for Jesse and Jesse respects Walt. The scene in season 3 where Walt rescues Jesse from that drug house and gets him to rehab says it all... Jesse just has an atitude problem with everyone. Its just how he acts. lol.

I wonder if Jesse will ever find out how Jane actually died and Walt just watched as she choked on her own vomit. Walt almost came close to telling Jesse in that Fly episode last season.

The thing that has been discussed a lot is if or when Hank does find out who Walt is, can he just simply hand him in? Won't that ruin his career? The fact that the biggest meth cook in the country was the brother in law of a DEA agent doesn't look good.

I think Hank has his suspicions (especially after the latest ep) but even if he does find out the truth I don't think he will do anything about it but an outside party (by that time) will have tagged on that something is afoot and both Walt and Hank will probably work something out.

I'm uncertain on what they have in store for Skyler though!
