Breaking Bad Season 4

What an episode, fudging amazing!

And yes, the final season is 16 epsiodes, not 6. I think there's a lot they could do to tie it up. DEA, FBI, walt vs jesse, Mike (was he watching things unfold at the end?), Skyler.. AMC seem to be a pretty solid network, so I reckon it will wrap up really well in season 5.

The Gus explosion was epic, just the look on Hector's face by itself, quality acting!

I'm waiting for next season when we find out Gus had sex with Skylar and now Walt has an evil black baby to deal with. :D

This is Breaking Bad... let's face it anything can happen. It's going to be fantastic to see how Hank reacts when the fire crews discover the lab underneath the cleaners.

but now the drugs trade has finished (from across the border and in NM) I would think the DEA will drop the case and leave Hank to figure it out by himself?

My prediction for next season - Jesse will be the one to kill Walt. His character arc has swayed between trying to go straight and getting drawn into the mess with Walt. He'll eventually turn back to the light side, and kill his sith master.. :D

Brilliant end to an epic series! :)

Oh, look what was in Gale's appartment:

Wow what an awesome awesome episode. The last 5 seconds made me literally stare in awe at the implications!

Walt is beyond it now, his transformation is complete!

Heisenberg.

You know when I said Walk would kill Hank if he had to? He ****ing would. He'd use or kill anyone that could possibly harm him or his children. The man has no depths he won't sink to.

I echo what people are saying about how the show could just end there, as it wrapped everything up perfectly. But there's still tons of material left for another season. Hank will know that someone must have survived. Jesse could figure out what happened (remember Jane? Fool me once...). Walt doesn't have much money left, and he's going to be at a very loose end now. And Mike's out there, somewhere.

Breaking Bad has gone from being an excellent series, to my clear second favourite, to quite possibly equalling The Almighty Wire as the all time best show I've seen. They're very different animals, and it's been a while since I saw the latter, but hell if that doesn't say something about how fantastic this show is.

Great finale. I think its obviously got to be mike who was watching Jesse and Walt talking at the end so he knows what's gone down and that Jesse and Walt were responsible.

I think Jesse will probably be the one to kill Walt, after him or Mike notice the plant in his garden. Either way Mike is coming back into this, and who knows what his intentions are and where his loyalties lie now that Gus is dead.

I agree too that the show could have ended there.

i loved the actual explosion no over the top Hollywood fireball just the power of the door blasting off and bending :D

I think that was the only time in the series where Gus was actually scared, as he let off a little scream when he saw the bomb lol. Even when that sniper was shooting at his "crew" he got up and walked in the line of fire! :p

But thinking about it there wasn't a lot of times other than that where he would have shown fear :p

Truly a FANTASTIC ending, especially Mark Margolis's scenes, what an amazing actor! The only thing that left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth was (highlight to show)

the thought that they expected us to believe that Saul's inept fat ******* security guard was such a sleight of hand genius that he managed to lift Jessie's ricin cig off him WHILE IT WAS STILL IN THE PACK! I mean, come on...
/end spoilers
I didn't expect that after reading that interview I linked to above. I'll be sorry not to see him back, he was a great character and I thought they had loads more they could've done with him. We still didn't find out about his past for instance.
Tio too, he was fantastic fun! :)
Guess s5 will be Hank starting to unravel the trail of breadcrumbs then.

Agreed.

That mass-off fire at the laundry won't go unnoticed, its not like its going to destroy all trace. The whole Fring empire is going to be collasping bit by bit :D

Mike's still on the loose though... But even though he was a pretty loyal guy I don't see him as putting his own life on the line to avenge his boss. Maybe he'll point out to Jessie what Walt did and just let things happen on their own. It's clear there's gonna be a confrontation between those two at some point.

Hmmm, not sure about gus walking out after the blast, with half his face burned off - is that even possible? Yes I know this is Breaking Bad, but seriously? My guess is that it was some sort of incendiary bomb and Gus moved away far enough for it not to blow him to bits, but cause massive burn damage instead. Even then, walking out like that was a little silly.

Either it was pretty well done, but I wonder if he is actually dead.

Is this really more unbelievable than the plane crash storyline? Or taking out the cartel? This show is pretty far fetched, but it's greatness lies in the fact it still feels real somehow.

So I was wrong and Walt did poison the Brock! I just couldn't see the writers allowing Walt to poison a child, even sending a crippled woman to her possible death. But it was done so well. It was a truly great ending to the series. Wrapped up just enough story to feel satisfied during the long wait for series 5.

I feel exactly the same as Weebull. This show is fighting with The Wire as my favourite tv series ever.

Edit:

Funnily enough (or not) I recently watched a helmet cam video from Afghanistan where an ANA soldier walks directly onto a land mine and received very similar injuries to Gus. Half his face is removed, exposing the bone beneath. Although in reality the wound fills with blood very quickly, unlike the terminator effect in BB. Who's to say that the explosive Walt used wouldn't cause injuries like Gus received though. Besides if the shrappnel didn't kill Gus the pressure would.

Edit 2: I just got the joke, The episode was called Face Off, lol

Final season has to be all about Hank vs Walt. Its set up perfectly. I think all the drug stuff is over now. He isn't going to cooking ever again.

The scene where Gus is walking was epic. The music was perfect. a lot of people saying his death was over the top but remember when Jesse said Gus was like a Terminator?

great end to the series, almost like it could end now. As others say i guess it will be about Walt v Hank. However we have Mike to come back i guess? he was very loyal to Gus.
