US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

heisenberg wanted jesse dead , walt didnt?

I thought this ep was about heisenberg going away and walt coming back like when grey matter on tv said anything left of walt is gone it seemed to make him realise what he had became and he wanted to try and make everything right.

getting rid of the blue meth , killing all the bad people etc and making it back like it was before he started almost.
He had no reason to kill lydia other than she was in the meth trade?

Yes it was about Walt coming to terms with what he had done at the end of his life.

As I said in my previous post though, I don't see that his final moments in the Meth lab point to anything in terms of trying to help Jessie, which was the point you were previously making.

He of course 'saved' Jessie by wrestling him to the floor when he started the M60, but that could also just be seen as a valid excuse for getting himself to the floor in order to set it off.

It's also apparent that Walt thought Jessie was working with Jack's gang and would have fully intended to kill him if involved, he didn't know he was a slave. At the end there, Walt clearly expected Jessie to kill him because of his rage and the fact he typically did what Walt told him to do.

Lydia had to go because she was a major player in the supply chain and also threatened his family. There is also the fact that she knew Skyler had some involvement, so if it came to trial, it could implicate her. The justification for her death was fully there in her final phone call where she had clearly ordered the gang to take Walt's life.

Also, this was one of the highlights of the episode for me

Just seeing that look to know they still had that mutual respect for each other after all that happened, perfect way to close it between those two. Better than any words, right in the feels

Fantastic ending, at least he didn't become a lumberjack... I will miss this show, Ozymandias will always be my favorite episode.

Hopefully Gilligan's next show is half-decent.

Agreed.

I thought it was a solid ending (although Ozymandias was perhaps the episode that closed the majority of the storylines).

I haven't heard anyone else share this opinion but I felt the Neo Nazi's went down a little too easily and quickly for my liking though. Apart from that I was happy with the way things played out 8/10.

Ha, did anyone else think that line about the knife was exactly like something Mike would have said?

Perfect ending for me!

I thought this - they sounded very similar at that stage. Also, the closing soundtrack Baby Blue is a pretty decent song!

Couldn't agree more.

Just mindblowingly brilliant. Words cannot describe.

I'm sure it would have been more satisfying to see Walt wandering about picking them off one by one brutally, but that wasn't him, nor would it have worked.

We are shown that they are ruthless, heavily armed and even experienced DEA Agents stood no chance against them. They also take their security seriously, so there is no way he was marching in there with weapons. So really his plan used his cunning and intelligence to better them.

I still think it was pretty satisfying though.
The hidden boot M60 gave McGuyver and the A-Team a run for their money and the look on the face of the first guy who spots it was pretty good. We then get Jessie strangling Todd, who is so stupid that he can't even see that it's Walt's doing. Finally, Jack has survived just enough for Walt to have the chance to execute him.

What was the Jesse wood working scene about?

At narcotics anonymous he entioned about how he did wood working at school and made something really **** and his teacher asked if he could do better and he said yes and so remade it. Think it was sort of a dream of what he'd do in another life/after a fresh start.

What was the Jesse wood working scene about?

In an earlier season (season 1??) he mentioned that the only thing he has ever done that has made him proud, was a box he made back in school during woodwork class.

That was just him daydreaming about something that made him happy!

Also, I know Bryan Cranston has been getting a crap-ton of plaudits for his depiciton of WW, but Aaron Paul is also an incredible actor. Could anyone imagine someone else playing Jesse to the same degree Aaron has?

EDIT: Beaten to it!
