US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

It's actually nice this morning, although I miss it, watching it in the morning meant I had to go all day not being able to talk to anyone about it, and then getting distracted at the gym as people messaged me about how good it was lol

I enjoyed it overall but having just watched it from start to finish in the past few weeks I did feel there was a lot of filler in some episodes just to pad things out a bit, season 3-4 were at times tough to watch one after the other, may have been different week to week.

As for the finale
I thought it was quite predictable but a way better ending than the likes of Dexter, I guessed straight away that the hired guns were just laser pointers but I didn't know who, and when I found out that didn't make sense, How did Walt even contact those guys.
The Ricin...well he guessed the time, location and table she'd sit at an got it in the packet without a scratch, a bit lucky.
Finally as soon as we saw him making the arm for the gun I guessed what this was for and roughly how it would be executed too, all a bit obvious and clean cut

An enjoyable series but not the best ever for me

I hate people like this, Picking apart every single scene just to disprove something and then whine that there are slow episodes.....just proves that you can never win.

it also goes to show how little attention you paid to the episode (and I would assume series as a whole) he didnt 'guess' anything as was pointed out in the episode. She meets there in that exact spot and time all the time, like clockwork, Lydia's whole character is based around structure.

Vince said he didnt want a pretentious ending because it would be a discredit to the fans (because thats what your wanting) this show has never been about that.

+1

I think this comes from not giving yourself enough time to digest the episodes properly. which I found when watching they early seasons back to back even though they were ace. being restricted in season 5 to 1 a week again was torturous but in a good way given the time for reflection.

The whole ending was pure class, as he had gone from Heissenburg back to plain old Walter White and he dealt with each scenario in a calm and controlled manner, thus going full circle and reaching closure. He had no out he either shrivelled up and died a horrible death or went out making sure his family was taken care of. Which he did.

Im sure I said I enjoyed the series overall and thought the ending was good

I hardly picked apart every scene just made observations on 3
Busy cafe and she always gets the same table??.......would have been better if he had slipped it in himself. Don't really see what else I said to invoke the hate.

I have watched many shows and some like 24 in the past you just had to watch the next one, then the next then the next, this rarely got me feeling this way, 2 episodes a night at times in some seasons were enough as it was just dragging out.

Clearly you have a lot of love for the show and will hear no evil, you'll just have to deal with it

Wow I'm surprised you feel that way, about it dragging out

With series 5, I watched it as it was on in the states, and it left me going crazy waiting for the next one to come. But even the previous 4 series, I would watch 4-5 in a row easily, and would only stop as I realised I was doing nothing but watching Breaking Bad, I've found the pacing of it to be excellent

I think I have listed to Baby Blue over 100 times now, so many feels so many.

Glad it's finished, but I still want more.

Here's my story about this show.
A few years ago I was aware that this show was getting rave reviews.
When I read that it was based around drugs, I thought "no thanks".
I hate drugs based movies/shows with a passion.

Recently I was looking for a TV show to watch, so decided on Game Of Thrones (highly rated). I was disappointed ... it was a bore fest.

So, tried out Breaking Bad...as a last resort. I was going to watch the first 3 episodes only.

Well, I watched the first season. And the 2nd. And the 3rd. And the 4th. And I am on the final few episodes of season 5. All this within the last 10 days or so.

I'm going to go through withdrawal symptoms once Ive seen the last episode.

Is this the best tv show I have ever seen. Not sure. But its pretty damn close.

Love this, might slap down the $80 to get it:
