On the contrary.
I strongly dislike tv/movie shows about drugs.
I find them boring.

I'm watching the highly rated The Wire, which is about a group of predominantly non-black Police vs black drug dealers. I've seen this 1000 times before.

Now Breaking Bad is different. Yes its got drugs, but the main focus is on a school teacher, who happens to be white and living a respectable life, who decides after getting cancer, that its time to enter the drug world. I've never seen anything like that before.

Characters like Gus and Walter White (ie. not the stereo type) made this show, for me.

If this show had black, male hoodlums (like The Wire and a million other drug based shows), I wouldnt have bothered with Breaking Bad.
