US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

Even though Walt is a bad guy (a drug dealer who kills people, for his own gains), I found myself supporting and rooting for him.

Exactly the same goes for The Shield (cops who have killed for their own gains), I find myself hoping they dont get caught.

It swings as the series goes on, for me i was rooting for him as you could see it was for his family then towards the end of season 5 I started to go the other way then in the end he kind of redeemed himself a little.

In the final episode, I was rooting for him to kill the hillbillies.
I was fully supportive of his use of ricin (against the evil lady) and the use of the M16 against the other bad guys.
It was fitting that the only way he could die was by his own gun, which he was firing by remote.

Just finished Breaking Bad myself a couple of days ago and thought the whole thing was awesome! I loved it so much that even though the whole thing is available on Netflix, I'm still gonna buy the complete box set when it's released over here in the UK just to have it :)

I was shocked by the ending because there has been rumour's that Walter White will appear in the Saul Goodman spin-off which led me to believe that Jesse would die in the final episode. It wasn't until my wife pointed out to me that a Saul Goodman spin-off would have to be based on events before BB ended that I realised how it would work.

I was sceptical about a Saul Goodman spin-off show but now that BB has ended I can't wait for it!

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Just finished it and this is right up there with The Wire and Sopranos. Walt redeemed himself in the finale for me, and the scene where he was seeing his daughter for the last time just bought a lump to my throat.

Just cant believe this is the same Bryan Cranston as in Malcom in the middle. I await the next classic tv show in about 5 years time! Amongst all the dross there always seems to be gem to appear from nowhere.

Before I finished watching it, a friend of mine tried to tell me that Walt get's given a new identity and family at the end and that's where Malcolm In The Middle starts haha come to think of it, that would've been a pretty good ending...... Lol

^that's excellent!

BB was one of my best ever series. I honestly wanted him the kill Marie so many times, and Skylar, so annoying.

Looking forward to the Saul Goodman spin-off.

That alt ending was awesome. At the start he slipped back into Hal like he'd never stopped playing him.

I've got to watch my season 1 boxset of Malcolm now.

Just bought the entire series on BD.. Not the one that's in a plastic drum special edition, but in separate seasons. $94 total, after i applied a $20 discount i had on amazon.

WTF !!

Just opened series 5 and it only contains episode 1-8...

Nothing on the cover regarding Series 5 Part I... Nothing on the back saying just the first 8 episodes. Just says Series 5, the complete series.

Also worst part, is that it was the most expensive series out the pack.

Now I see there's a new Breaking Bad, the FINAL season, that'll become available on 26th Nov.

Anyway, screwed me over ! Not the end of the world, i'll buy the 'Final' one, just a little annoyed that I didn't realise this prior.. Not that it would have stopped me..
