When you say 'Q' shape do you mean a tubular pin tumbler lock?

If so try this, it may or may not work but is probably worth a try before you call a locksmith or destroy the safe.

I got oxy acetylene cutting, & a large Stihl saw here.

You know the make of the safe, if so contact them with the code & they might be able to supply a replacement key, not all locksmiths do the complete range of safe keys.

Had a floor safe, lost the key, the firm need so much proof it was my safe before I got a spare key.

Problem is the safe is screwed into the wall.

Easily solved, provided it's surface mounted, just need a good wrecking bar to prise it of the wall.

Quickly get angle grinder from friend, but diamond coated blade for it. Goggles and get to work.
