Breastfeeding in restaurants

Not got a problem with it personally.

I agree with the 'if anyone has a problem with it that's their issue' opinion

It's not the most natural thing in the world at all.

Really? You need to check on your perception of the word 'natural'. Chucking man-made 'formula' down your baby's throats isn't natural at all.

Your comparing the naturalism (is that even a word?) of a helpless newborn feeding off their mother who is providing for their child to two adults having sex - are you for real? Jesus

They're both natural acts, which is what the argument was based on, and incidentally the latter results in the former. So yes, they are actually related.

Also, it's "you're".

Some people just want to be offended by anything.

I wonder how long a picture or a video of a mother breast-feeding would last if someone posted it here? ;)

Burns has told how she burst into tears after a waiter rushed up to her with a “ridiculous shroud” while she breastfed her 12-week-old daughter.

I don't know what to believe anymore

I think you will find breast feeding is.

I think you'll find it's not, breathing is probably more natural for example as it's carried out by more people. Yea, I'm being enormously pedantic but when you claim something is THE MOST NATURAL THING ever, I think we are already in the realms of pedantry ;)

I think his point is that you can't really claim anything is the MOST natural thing in the world. How would you even measure such a claim?

Incidentally I don't care either way, I'm just here for the pedantry.

I am of this opinion too, I just feel that if you can do something in private when someone is disturbed by your actions it's only fair to do so if it isn't inconvenient. Refusing based on "if you've got a problem then it's your problem" is an unnecessarily stubborn way to be.

so is changing a baby after it's taken a crap.
your not about to do it on a restaraunt table though are you?

Exactly! I nearly posted this.

I don't think they should be forced to stop. I think people should be considerate towards the feelings of others and if at all possible do things that make them uncomfortable in private.

but something that is 'uncomfortable' to one person is fairly normal to others

it is like taking offence - people are offended by all sorts of things, the problem can easily be with the people who are offended by silly things rather than the person who is the source of the offence

I think with breast feeding it is certainly the people who are 'uncomfortable' who need to be told to get a grip or just GTFO

Don't see what the big deal is, let the woman breast feed. It's not going to make my meal taste any different

People get "offended" for ridiculous reasons. Those people need to go do one.

The words you use, they have meaning. Unless you don't know what "most" means. Also, what Fox said.

That's my point, that and other things are just as "natural" on the scale of all things natural, and yet they aren't considered acceptable; ergo it being "natural" isn't the most sensible argument to use.

Some people, I think, enjoy being offended in some mental masochistic way.

I think a lot of people are just prudes, feel their feelings all over the place and expect everyone to accommodate them feeling their feelings all over the place BECAUSE EMOTIONS.
