Britain's Got talent

I saw george in liverpool city centre last week, his break dancing is a lot better than what he has done on the show in the final...i dont think he should have won it, it was given to him through sympathy....i think tho that signature have got the most out of this series, and are probably the true winners...out of nowhere they have come and entertained and now they have the recognition to go on and do bigger and better things....whats funny tho is that george won it this year becuase he wasnt good enough last year!

Yeah, Simon was saying, though, that he thought George would prove that he knows what he's talking about as he wanted George through to the semis last year, but was over-ruled.

I don't get it...

It's meant to be a talent contest and most of the acts were singers, if you want to sing why not go on Xfactor...?

I thought Jin the dog was best and varied, Signature were great at first but got old pretty fast and the two boys were mainly just looking for sympathy votes.

i was hoping between signature and george, im glad no singers won they should be left for Xfactor

you do know Suleman Mirza (signature) have been going for years and Sulemen is know to be worlds number 1 Michael Jackson impersonator and has done many of live shows

and people who say there was no talent in this competition make me LOL, just proves my point again from the comment i got a 2 day ban for in the mcanns thread on here

Is that right wierd how it never gets in the press , either way he was good , but glad george won. Both really good acts TBH

Singing in the rain lad wasn't THAT good to be honest. Between the three, the choir boy was just not star material (I think there was some psychological damage done to that boy in earlier age, he creeps me out), Signature, regardless whether they re-hashed material or not, were two, three folds better than that boys street dancing - his moves often looked messy and some break dance floor routines were clearly not well rehersed too. But at the end of the day, Signature is probably partially signed up and published act and as such, just like Escala, of no use to Simon.

At the end of the day, Cowell will cash in on them for a year and they'll be doing things on his terms. Then, before contract release, he'll shove them all as deep as possible under water and at best most of them will spend rest of their days between entertaining pensioners in Brighton and hotel gigs in Blackpool. They'll be just another pub discussion - what happened to "that guy with a sock monkey" or "barmen tossing bottles about" in last years finals. Or just about any X-Factor top 10...

Saw part of the final earlier and just had a look through the second semi-final. Couldn't believe how wide a gulf in talent there was between the best and the worst! I thought Escala gave a brilliant performance, striking and original (though I may be a little biased as they were also gorgeous...) Nemesis were also outstandingly choreographed and presented. On the other hand, what was with the rather large woman - Alya or whatever her name was? It was truly scraping the barrel. I see dancing of that calibre on a Saturday night; why the hell do I want to watch it on telly when I'm sober?

And the winner - what? Clear that he just got the cute/sympathy vote. The performance was well-rehearsed but just not inspired or inspiring, and I didn't think there was anything of substance about the performer which would make him in any way enduring or memorable. Escala had genuine class and poise and were capable of making a real impact, where George is starting the one-way dance into obscurity. Does Prince Charles particularly want to watch some tedious breakdancing?

The judges, particularly Cowell, were pretty much endorsing the sympathy voting with some of their comments: 'You guys work at Tesco's and you've tried really hard'... 'You're in the last-chance saloon', etc. Why should it make any difference whether you shop at Tesco's or Harrods? You become the best through talent and hard work, not through winning concessions and sympathy. I thought this was supposed to be 'Britain's Got Talent', not 'Britain's Got a Bleeding Heart'?

I am peeved :p
