What's really shocked me is this is a girl from the town I work in, I work at the high school and to be honest I doubt she's even of age to go there yet. Unbelievable.
As far as the mother saying she's proud it doesn't surprise me, she can't really go slagging her off and it might be interesting to hear what she says afterwards. As far as I know it's a fairly large family as it is, be interesting to know how many work..

It gets my back up.I think there should be a law to enforce any pregnancies under the age of 17 to be aborted regardless of religion etc. At least this way, the child wont turn into a leech dependant on the state.
She is not fit to be a mother, not is the actual mother fit to have children herself.

It's legal to have sex in the UK at 16. You can get married with consent from both parties parents. If the couple are married then they should be allowed to have children if they so wish as they are exempt from such a law. Proper steps in education would prevent this (the girl not tyson) but as soon as anyone mentions rules, morals or religion its "OMG THE ENEMY" and bull****.

Not really, she still ended up studying to GCSE level and the quit to be with her son in a ***** little council house. However, she did ull her finger out, study Health & Social care before training up as a child minder and now does ok for herself.
I wouldn't condone what she did or want to live her life - I earn more and don't have a teenager to raise.
having a child young doesn't necessarily ruin you life but look at it this way: Yes, you get benefit etc and help lef, right and centre, but I'm off to Cuba in 3 weeks time. I drive a Mitsi GTO and also own an MX-5. I will be moving into a very large 3 bed semi shortly in one of the best areas of town and am able to spend £15k on getting married next year. For someone who is pregnant at 12, these things will not happen and they are destined to max out at mediocrity tbh.
