hey guys, blatantly ripping this off another forum i frequent but i thought it might be interesting. from your clubs squad build a british isles 11 and a foreign 11 which team do you think would win?

i'll go first...

United

Foster
Neville
Rio
Wes
Evans
Hargreaves
Carrick
Scholes
Giggs
Rooney
Smith

subs:
Heaton
O'Shea
Bardsley
Fletcher
Eagles

v

VDS
Heinze
Vidic
Silvestre
Evra
Anderson
Park
Ronaldo
Nani
Tevez
Saha

Subs:
Kuszczak
Pique
Ole
Dong
Rossi

oh and i've deliberately chosen to live in this fantasy land where i see tevez as a done deal.

I'd probably give it to the brits to be honest, more steel in midfield.

Foreign 11 for me I think. There's a good spine in the team and so much pace and attacking flair too. It would be a pretty good game though. :D

Foreign 11:

Lehmann

Eboue
Toure
Gallas
Clichy

Hleb
Cesc
Gilberto
Rosicky

RvP
Adebayor

British 11:

Almunia (Qualifies for a British passport :P)

Rodgers
Hoyte
Connolly
Gilbert

Hoyte
Randall
Thomas
Lansbury

Simpson
Walcott

Don't think it can be done with the Boro squad

Foreign:
-------------Schwarzer----------------
-------Pogatetz - Huth - Arca-----------
Rochemback - Goulon - Boateng - Tuncay
------Yakubu - Aliadiere - King Dong-----

English:
--------------------Turnbull----------------------
-----McMahon - Woodgate - Riggot - Taylor-------
Owens - Morrison - Cattermole - Johnson - Downing
--------------------Craddok----------------------

Buckets of potential in the English side but thats about it, Goulon is gonna be the next Big pat Viera as well

Two fairly competent teams, especially for the Championship. Foreign side would edge it I imagine.

I agree.
With Vidic and Heinze at the back too... good in defence.

To be fair there is a fair amount of first team experience there. 3 of the back 4, 3 of the midfield have been in the squad. Also notice one of your English XI is ex-Arsenal ;)

And what a bargain for £100k he was! Birmingham had a £2million bid rejected last week. :D

I liked the fact I looked at Arsenals Foreign XI and thought to myself 'He hasn't understood this, he's just named First XI against subs bench'.

Liverpool

British:

Finnan (if he counts)

Spearing
Hamill
