British Grand Prix 2010, Silverstone Circuit - Race 10/19

Impressive to see that Hamilton is going so far.

Alonso looks VERY fast here. Unfortunately for him, he is pegged behind a couple of slower cars in front. Alonso had the worst start of all the front runners.
 
Absolutely fantastic start for McLaren there, and Hamilton really seems to have good pace. It's going to be really interesting to see whether Red Bull try and blame Webber again for Vettel running off...

Geek warning!

In order to keep the exhaust driven diffuser working at maximum they can do something in qualifying to keep the exhaust gasses more constant so it doesn't raise and lower the amount of downforce depending on engine revs.

They can retard the ignition so that it ignites the fuel when the exhaust valves are open so that accelerates the exhaust gasses and allows the exhaust speed to be kept up when the engine is lower in RPM's. This however damages the exhaust side of the engine and the exhausts so it's only used on full on qualifying laps.

Yup, eventually he'll learn that some drivers won't be bullied. :)

If Hamiliton wasn't British and in 2nd place, I'd almost like Webber to win this, if only to see Vettel and Horner sulking. :D
