I think its more about the things like Rosbergs moves in Bahrain, and Schumacher at Monza last year or Hungary against Barichello. Intentional moves. Button didn't squeeze Hamilton, he just didn't know he was there, but I expect under this rule he would now be penalised.
Its for those situations where a driver squeezes another into a situation where the options are to lift of and back out of the move, or be pushed off the track.
So you are suggesting JV should have been penalised for being taken out (loss of points etc) ?What you have described is exactly what happened in Canada 2011.
Personally, I can't see how this rule clears anything up. It merely asks drivers to be considerate to other drivers and don't play dirty. This "don't play dirty" rule has been in operation for the last couple of decades now. Didn't MSc have his 2nd place in the championship taken away from him, for playing dirty (was it 1997)?
