Riccy got a new MGU-K after qualifying, but it doesn't count against parc ferme rules?

Right, I've done the washing up, the vaccuuming, emptied cat litter trays.
Why the long delay?
Are they milking this delay for any particular reason?
It doesnt take 45 minutes to clear/clean the track.

Restart time is apparently 1405hrs, so it took them about 1 hour delay.

I enjoy delays like this, makes looking forward to the race more exciting.

I think it was 2 years ago that there was a massively long delay because of heavy rain, but can't recall what circuit it was.

Mens Wimbledon final also starts around the same time, so perhaps the GP organisers want to go head-to-head with Wimbledon.

You'd get about a million to 1 with the bookies for another driver hitting that spot.

That F1 is over regulated and that the delay for an hour is ridiculous.

The barriers should be more bolt in/out 5 minute changes. An hour to repair such a small piece is too long.

It is over regulated but when it comes to safety what are you supposed to do? imagine if someone hit that same spot and it split open and harpooned them.

i do think it should just be able to be removed and whole new structure put in. say the surrounding 4 paarts

Saying F1 is over regulated and an hour delay to repair 1.5m of barrier is crazy considering the tiny likelihood of anyone else hitting that particular part.

It's all very well whinging about it taking ages, but if they hadn't repaired the barrier, someone else had crashed there, and got badly hurt, there would be even more questions asked.

It takes as long as it takes to get it done right.

Not long now thankfully.
