Well Maldonado shoudn't be in F1, ergo shouldn't have been in this race, ergo wouldn't have been there for Gutierrez to hit.

So it's still his fault

They more then likely did... nothing that can be done when you go past the line. There is no reverse.

Actually a 5 sec stop/go for Alonso is a reasonably light punishment considering. Think he got off lucky there.
