Really? Can't recall seeing an F1 car in reverse. Either way I assume there is some rules or some such stopping cars from reversing. Over running grid position has happened many times before, I have never seen a car be able to correct it before the race starts.

If Hamiilton finishes 2nd, there's only a 36 point difference between him and Rosberg, so it'll still be anyone's championship.
It would mean Nico could finish 2nd behind Lewis for 4 races and still be infront. It's a huge advantage.
Hamilton should have thought about coming in early, going hards, praying he under cuts then holding Rosberg up on hopefully medium tires for as long as possible and going medium vs hard at the end.
