British Grand Prix 2015, Silverstone - Race 9/19

What were you watching? Look at the gap Lewis pulled once in clear air, both Mercs were help up a lot by Williams.

Yup, no idea what he's on. Williams were a minimum half a second slower in the dry conditions, more like 1+ second slower, Hamilton pulled out a gap in no time then just managed it.

As I said Williams have lost out in pitstops every time. Either Merc stay out and gun it in clear air or they pit earlier... which they can do incredibly easily as they have FAR less tire deg than Williams so they can afford to pit earlier.

Williams' screw-up doesn't annoy me anywhere near as much as their reluctance to admit it and barefaced lying in response to questions about it.

Whole team gone way down in my estimations today.

Denying they ever told them they couldn't race. Claiming they'd been told this before the race and in the first few laps and that Bottas was told he could always pass if it was clean, just that they didn't want them scrapping with each other.

Total lies basically. As we all heard, Bottas was clearly told not to race and had to argue with the team to get the "if it's clean" concession.

Think before you lay in to Rob Smedley. We don't get the Radio messages as is. They're edited and broadcast with a variable delay.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

The only radio message that matters is the one that clearly told Bottas not to race Massa. Smedley clearly denied that directive was ever the case. He's a liar.

Bottas contradicted what smedly said...it basically agreed with the radio message. Pathetic performance by Williams today.

They have Lauda in their team, they couldn't be anything other than straight to the point if they tried!

Indeed, Lauda is great :D I'm just amazed that plonkers like Smedley don't realize that honesty and humility are far better for PR than what comes across at times as defensive arragonce devoid from all reality :p

This. His attitude stank. We all heard the radio message so denying they were ever told that and trying to make Ted feel awkward for even suggesting it makes my blood boil. F1 doesn't need this kind of crap on top of everything else - if you screw up just put your hands up and admit it!
